Sins of the Father, Not Your Kind of People, and Nuclear are confirmed. Not sure about Elegia.

Nuclear stands out to me, as it's from way after 1984. I appreciate it's been part of the marketing, but with all the other music being from the time period, game scores aside, it seems odd to me.

o man i did this a shit load in RDR....

When people talk about how "big" the game is, or how they put in 40 hours and are only at 40% or something, unfortunately this is why. You spend a TON of time doing nothing but going from point A to B. If not a fast travel, then at least they could have grouped missions close together, or at least put some stuff out there instead of barren land.

It's 1970.

EDIT: I thought you were talking about The man who sold the world lol. Eh, cool little easter egg even though it isn't within the time the game is set in.

You could hop on the chopper anytime you want then choose where it drops you at any moment in the game.

Not as odd as the JPop Snake will be listening to later on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'll have to try that again. It was still putting me pretty far from my designated target but that might have been mission specific.

I've played Deja Vu in Ground Zeroes like 5 times today. I love it. So many memories, and the quiz just brings it all together. I've loved it all from the beginning, and I start the final act tomorrow. Bring it, Kojima.

Only thing that sucks about it is loading screens but you could skip all that and just quit to the ACC once the game autosaves if you just finished a side op or something. This will skip you waiting for the chopper, waiting for it to take off and then the loading screen. You'll immediately be booted to the chopper hub which is the ACC.

So how exactly is MGSV running on a 360, when MGS4 was considered too advanced for it?

Uh, MGS4 was considered too advanced because of the cutscenes and stu-

basically the game was going to be on a half dozen discs. MGSV doesn't have that many cutscenes I assume is the catch :V

I completed all of them yesterday. They were pretty fun.

Side ops are just amazing too. I absolutely love doing all of the side things and it is helping me with the mother base growth. Even dispatch missions are great for collecting resources, staff volunteers and additional GMP.

After being just 11 missions in, I feel like I am doing really well so far.

Combat 2/4
R&D 2/4
Base Development 2/4
Support 1/4
Intel 1/4
Medi 1/4

I said this in the spoiler-free impression thread, but it looks like that thread is compromised:

Some early look at inventory around here makes it seem like MGSV is going to be heavily sided on PS4/3 sales, especially PS4. I'm talking a 7:1 difference between PlayStation and Xbox.

Cross post from the Community thread.

If any of you want to watch an excellent documentary about Afghanistan from the 50s up to the present day, check out Adam Curtis's Bitter lake.

Yup. The number of PS4 buyers I saw were like too many. The people who got the game on Xbox One(me included) could be probably added with one hand lol.

The word you're looking for is 'coherent'.
Nope. Safe. Compared to the others, I liked the story but it's utterly mundane in comparison. It has no shortage of iconic moments of course; but it's like Kojima forgot to take his bats shit insanity pills.

Quick heads up if you find DD:
don't lay down and hit melee while he's near you as a puppy in mother base. It auto locks onto him and slaps him no matter what side of you he's on...

Not sure if that needed spoilers, but better safe than sorry.

Nice OT! Hoping to get the game today but I guess now that I've waited this long one day wouldn't be so bad... Kidding, the wait is physically killing me.

Surface of Me

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Wow, I literally just realized idroid is combining the names of iPod(or any Apple product) and Android.

Please tell me I'm not the only one.

Do we know anything about Metal Gear Online? So far I've seen FOB base PvP thing, and a video which I thought was PvP but I think its just co-op of a mission.

Is there any larger scale PvP? Or modes similar to the Splinter Cell?

We'll know more by October by the sound of things so far. FOBs should be available when the game launches on the 1st, but beyond that you'll have to wait for MGO news.
