Quiet talk:
I
went full tranq gun on her, at one point I was hitting my shots on her even when she was in her invisible state. Felt good. I actually managed to flank her a few times which was fun, my last flank, I landed a Stun Arm to finish her off. Also, that is amazing lol and I'm playing that mission again just to do that to her.
Is there a benefit to fighting her and not just getting passed her? Other than the fun thrill of it of course.

So I'm cleared mission 11 today and have been doing all the side ops. It sounds like if I keep doing side ops, the enemies will be tougher and getting the true ending will be harder.

Similar to arkham knight--I was way too much of a completionist playing the game and got locked out of seeing the true ending due to how much more work would've been required.

Sounds like a similar situation here. I should probably focus on the main missions and leave many of the side ops missions for later. Thoughts? I'm at 6% currently.

I beat mission 10 last night - how far away am I from getting the wolf pup? I want a new buddy, horse is getting old.

I got him after completing mission 3
as I was leaving the area I was attacked by two wolves, so I killed them. I left and started the extract the interpreter side op and when I dropped out the heli Miller said "a wolf pup, you don't have time for this" or something and then he came running over to me

Wow. Upgraded your Support base to where you get more from grabbing/refining?

That's what I was doing but I've got a lot of resources right now but no GMP to use them with. Hah.

Can someone enlighten me....how to find rooms those you can enter at MB? I'm so lost there....it's getting bigger and bigger and the iDroid maps seem useless to me.

Can someone tell me why my controllers keep disconnecting in Metal Gear V?
I haven't had this happen in any other game. I'm on PC.

USB going bad? Driver conflicts? I haven't ran into that with the PC version.

I really want to develop the stun variation of DD, but I think I need to unlock the FOB / online stuff. Anyone know around what main mission # you unlock it?

Had my first creative mission S rank! Mission 10
My horse defecated in the middle of the road, hummer spins out of control which causes drivers to be knocked out for a short period of time. I then tanq the necessary people and drive off in the hummer to the helicopter

Quiet feels kind of.. I dunno, inconsistent? I tell her to scout an area, she misses a lot of soldiers. I tell her to attack and it feels like she's not actually attacking, just pulling the enemies' fire?

I think I'll stick with the dog for now, knowing where everyone is is far more useful to my current strategy.
she's very consistent t you just need to know the rules.
if an enemy is hidden inside quiet so won't see them etc, if you tell her to go to an attack position,
she won't attack till you tell her to fire, you break stealth, or enter reflex mode-she will attack who saw you.
she can also only attack a enemy if her green laser sight goes over them

So disappointed in boss fights.
I finished the game and all I can remember 3 bosses and 1 of them is optional. 1 of them actually felt like a real boss. lame

There are like two 100% unique missions after 3
1
. anything else is a repeat or side ops tier

Well, to be fair its not like that by itself doesn't represent a substantial campaign!

I mean, after 69 hours I'm still only at mission
30
!

Side-note: Is it really necessary to spoiler tag basic metrics like number of missions?
Especially when looking at the "completion" tab under Records/Play Records shows your progress as a percentage?

Well you can deploy your combat guys to do things like take out caches of night vision goggles, shotguns, etc. So the enemies don't have that equipment.

So I was going through my ps4 library to find the USB music player app, and it literally fucking disappeared. Like I searched throughout the psn and it aint there. Has anyone else had this happened?

Oh alright, definitely info I didn't know

I could swear she missed a ton of enemies out in the open, though. Maybe they were just out of her range or something, I guess.

Are most of ya'll just crafting everything that comes available? Up to this point I've only been crafting the things that I expect to use, so I am loaded on GMP.

The thing is, I now have so much excess GMP that I might as well craft everything.

For people still on the edge about buying the PC version, it looks like you can get it on Nuuvem for close to $41 bucks with the promo code FOX-DIE-40. Has anyone bought it yet from there?

well she does literally jump around the area scanning it, I usually tell her to scout as soon as I get out of chopper and by the time I drive there she's finished.
she's finished scouting when she's standing.

but yeah game needs a quiet tutorial.

So when you recover machine guns and AA guns, are those getting set up around Motherbase? Because I noticed like 4 of the Soviet AA guns set up on my medical platform earlier.

And does that stuff ever re-spawn? Or is there a limited number of equipment, vehicles and cargo containers in each mission area?

Late game spoilers:

So, I'm fighting Sehelanthropus, and I can get him down to within a fraction of his health, just a few more rockets until he's dead, but EVERY SINGLE TIME, he jumps close, I shoot a rocket into Mantis' face, and then he hits me with the rail gun, insta-death.

How do I avoid that? I've tried dodging, but can't figure this out.

The S ranks started flowing easily near the end of the game. Turns out when you figure out how all the stealth mechanics work the game becomes incredibly easy.

(An upgraded tranq gun also helps)

I'm holding onto my GMP lmao only developing stuff I want to use

Can anyone give me a hint on mission 16?
The skulls keep fucking up the truck when I steal it. I thought about jumping in the tank and killing them all. Should I just do that?

I crafted all the stuff I used, which is a very short list, immediately, in addition to some cool looking stuff that I hoped would add modification options. I then started upgrading everything I could, and I am still struggling for resources more than GMP.

I'd say it's worth upgrading all the time, because you still need to get to high staff levels to upgrade the weapons you actually use at higher levels anyway.

when does dd grow up?

done a ton of side ops and hes still a pup

You have to beat a few missions, 3 of a specific number. I wrote the info down a few pages ago. Or at the pace this thread goes. quite a few pages ago. Let me look it up.

Oh, I've been playing offline most of the time because of how long it takes to load up the menues and stuff. Do the mortars and machineguns help defend motherbase in a fob mission?

I havent looked too into it yet because i just unlocked it then went to work. The more people you have on security the better security devices you can build like cameras and laser fences, so now im gonna just fulton everything possible.

i usually fulton mortars and other guns though because i can sell them

Was wondering if anyone could help me out with a weird glitch I'm having.

I beat the prologue and everything was fine (my Xbox was online at this point). Now I'm in my new apartment without internet for a few days. The problem is that none of my progress is being saved.

I do the first three missions or so, see the auto save symbol, quit to main menu, and turn the Xbox off. Then if I turn it back on, my game begins at mission 1 again. This has happened three times.

Is there something I'm missing in regards to how saving works? Is it because I'm offline? Should I just delete my save and start over completely?

Thanks for any help.

if you shoot
mantis
, boss should be stunned for awhile.

The skulls keep fucking up the truck when I steal it. I thought about jumping in the tank and killing them all. Should I just do that?

Something weird happened for me. I snuck up to the truck, triggered the cutscene in which they show up, fultoned the trucked immediately and three of them just stood there while Quiet whittled down their stamina bar. They were just frozen in place while I stun armed them over and over again. Only the fourth one was active and I had to kill it. My friend had a way easier time. If you go to the outpost where the armored escort deploys from, you can find a leftover armored vehicle to commandeer and you can wipe out the skulls in seconds.

Finished mission 5-7 and
skipped to 11 accidentally
sandstorm is your friend when you're fighting (character spoiler)
Quiet

For wandering soldier side ops I used D-horse to chase after him but he bumped into me, stumbling me and D-horse. Then I used (weapon spoiler)
Riot Gun
but that guy could absorb hundereds of bullets, so I decided to beat the crap out of him using bionic arm. :p

Pro Tip: Do not use your Idroid while driving, you might go over a cliff.

Don't have an X1 so not sure how it works, do you have a setting active where it automatically loads the most recent cloud save that's being stored locally?

Every time, though, the game goes into reflex mode and he comes super close to my face, then I hit him directly in the face with a missile, and the mech reels from it, but since and while it's in reflex mode, he's charging the rail gun. Anywhere I go, no matter how I time my dive, the railgun hits me and it's always an insta-death.

Should I shoot mantis with something else instead?

Finally unlocked the FOB and... Fuck right off with that shit, not only is there an obscene amount of MB coins needed just to change locations, but the initial locations don't give you near as good a stat in terms of mining resources compared to after you buy the first place.

I don't think it impedes my progression, but it sure as fuck is a kick in the nads in terms of base building, I like building bases and managing resources. :(
