It feels like Miller/Ocelot have almost nothing to say about anything I point my binoculars at. Pretty disappointing. Even GZ was better at this.
I really wish they'd tell what the guy you are zoomed in has equipped. It would help a bit in knowing when there's a sniper or some guy with grenades.

God damnit... fuck Mission (late game)
45
. Anyone have any tips? :(
go high up to where
quiet
is standing and only pop up out of cover after the ohko tank has fired.
It's a shame that mission is so shit, limited and frustrating.

@venom fox, the one mentioned in his post is the last one if you've done
truth

Oops, should I have done the
mission called TRUTH
first?

Vehicle kills don't count as official kills afaik. They didn't in Ground Zeroes. Unless you're asking because you ran in to one with a buns of non-lethal stuff in which case you should a weapons drop in.

Did it! Thankfully a sandstorm came along, I hopped into a dumpster and smoked the day (and the alert) away. The rest of the mission was super easy.

YES

Got
Malak
back by replaying the mission, he ended up simultaneously in the sick bay and Fatally Wounded strangely

Just need that Transport Specialist and I can really kick on I think, few more SideOps as well

Enjoying every minute of the game

D-Dog is just fucking cool

Slight spoilers about the first meeting with Quiet.

The boss fight was pretty hard because I wanted only to use non-lethal weapons against her and I only had my tranq pistol with me. I could never get close enough to get proper headshots and died a few times. Then I got the bright idea to drop a supply package on her. Lo and behold the drop smashes over half of her stamina away. I love this game.

This one almost made me rage out. I used Quiet and somehow managed an A ranking despite multiple failures.
I failed it like 10 times (literally). The game suggested I use the chicken head.
This wasn't even my fault. It was mostly due to
absolutely shit friendly AI
.

When I eventually finished it I got an S rank. Lol wut.

Can I get some tips on how to quickly upgrade mother base and increase levels aside from recruiting soldiers or paying? If there are any.

Fools are always so certain of themselves, but wiser men so full of doubts.
It didn't show for me. I went into the room around episode 8, and nothing happened, there's just that button that doesn't do anything. Did I miss something?

Did you do the first of the side ops that has you capture an old mother base operative that's wandering around?

Not Spaceghost

Spaceghost
Nope...among the completed quests I only have one legendary gunsmith in the list.

Strange because finishing that one should unlock 2 more legendary gunsmith side ops. Maybe try doing more side ops until it shows up?
I had finished all the available side ops prior to mission 13 by the way.

For the record, I had to do the first part of that quest over again because it didn't trigger for me for some reason.

Or try this

I beat mission 10 last night - how far away am I from getting the wolf pup? I want a new buddy, horse is getting old.

So FOB, it's fun and a great way to get money and resources but seems easy to infltrate. Every base has the same layout, only the security is different. Most of the soldiers are pushovers so you can easy Rambo your way to the goal. I have not fought another player yet, I hope so soon.

Now I can't find a way to set my PSN friends as FOB friends. It gives me this screen to befriends random players, why would I want to do that. How do I protect my friends bases?

Should have gotten him in mission 3.

I
went full tranq gun on her, at one point I was hitting my shots on her even when she was in her invisible state. Felt good. I actually managed to flank her a few times which was fun, my last flank, I landed a Stun Arm to finish her off. Also, that is amazing lol and I'm playing that mission again just to do that to her.

OK I can confirm this about progression in the later part of the game.
You dont need to do the repeated missions in higher difficulty, the only thing you need to do are make sure you do ALL the yellow marked missions/ side ops

I have done all of them available to me except the gun range ones and one or two highly skilled soldier side ops.

You can't redo a side ops if you've ready dome them though.

I was playing free roam and the dog appeared from nowhere, barking at me and I've only finished mission 1, it was near post 24.

Same, got the puppy in the very first side mission after getting Fulton. Just sat in front of me after I was dropped off the chopper.

There are like two 100% unique missions after 3
1
. anything else is a repeat or side ops tier

Who on earth thought these end-game missions were a good idea? There's literally no benefit to them, it's bullshit. I just want to play the new story missions, and not be blocked off from them by having to repeat missions.

W-what? I never saw any sign of any puppy... Don't tell me he's missable... I've only seen two wolves and fluttered them both so far, I tend to leave nothing behind...

Damn, I'm 10 missions and 6 side-ops (with 2 free roam sessions) in, and this has not happened to me.

Apparently this is so because they didn't have enough time to spend on making chapter 2.

Quiet feels kind of.. I dunno, inconsistent? I tell her to scout an area, she misses a lot of soldiers. I tell her to attack and it feels like she's not actually attacking, just pulling the enemies' fire?

I think I'll stick with the dog for now, knowing where everyone is is far more useful to my current strategy.

He's missable in the sense that he's optional but afaik you can always go get him. Bad luck you haven't seen him yet. He's wandering the wilderness. Someone had a suggestion for an LZ to land at that has a chance to immediately have him that helped duckroll some pages back.

After you get him as a puppy you'll have to wait a bit for him to grow up, too.

I don't really understand why they did this chapter 2 thing though.

Surely they could have just cut the credits from the end of mission
31
and just simply continued the story? Then we could have just the new missions.
