It'll be default costumes for the first dozen hours but good to have options if it gets stale. Etrian Odyssey set looks the coolest and most fitting with the theme/setting of the game

Managed to complete D4 expansion story all of today so I can begin Metaphor bright and early tomorrow.
I feel like I'm on a really weird roller coaster. SH2 Remake being absolutely stratosphere incredible, then D4 story being the worst shit blizzard has ever produced, and now going back to more Metaphor from my demo save. High high's, and low fucking lows lol.

Yup. I normally never turn off camera shake but it's really annoying in this game because it's like you're having a seizure

So far this is honestly one of the worst prologues I've ever seen/played. There's no gameplay at all. You get interrupted every 10 steps. The protagonist starts out really unlikeable sadly, which I could see becoming an issue, and all this shota crap and fujoshit isn't helping either.
If it weren't for the facts that I'm a huge weeb and love Persona, I'd probably drop this already.
Obviously this is saying nothing about the actual game, I'm really just baffled at how horrible the beginnig is. Especially compared against the fantastic start of P5. Really curious to see how the rest will turn out, and I do pray it'll get a lot better, quickly.

Yes, the intro is very weak imo. I'm not a fan of how you're essentially watching a 30 minute ova to start the game - just do it in one single cutscene and stop making me pick up/put down the controller, that's annoying af. not a fan of the mc character design, not a fan of the graphics. but like i said it picks up when you unlock the bonds and the artstyle kicks in.

I just woke up and I’ll be heading to the shop in two hours to pick up. I’m actually a little sad that I will be putting Octopath Traveler 2 on hold, as I was having a lot of fun with it the last two days. It was meant to tide me over until today, but it’s such an amazing game itself.
Are the preorder codes in the game case or printed on the receipt? I never use these things.

Took out the Dragon in the Mines, didn't even attempt it in the demo thinking you're meant to come back later. You get a powerful sword for your troubles, good times

My reason for turning it off is it's the reason for most of the aliasing shimmering in the backround.

Picked this up on PC.
Played it on both PC and Deck this morning, after the recent patches it runs pretty well on the Deck, a lot better then when I played the initial demo release.
It's not perfect, but it seems to hold around 50-60 fps for the most part, dropping into the 40's in the busier part of the city.
I found locking it to 45 fps / 90 hz on the OLED Deck smoothed everything out nicely.
This is with high quality textures and full 100% render rate, and ambient occlusion on as well.
I will now go media silent on this for fear of spoilers, enjoy my blind playthrough and say goodbye to possibly the next 100 hours of my gaming time, enjoy it everyone!

Maybe I’m too old and tired, but I’m finding the start of the demo quite boring - to the point I literally fell asleep partway through. Do things pick up later or should I simply drop the game at this time?
