Metro Awakening (advanced access) launch to Mostly Positive on Steam

Since when?
For vr it would equate to something that's more or less already been played. I'm guessing it might be a fairly competent shooter with some okay-ish sneaking mechanics if lucky. Maybe something similar to Blade & Sorcery's sneaking mechanic.

I'll have to take a look at people playing it, but that's my overall guess.

The reviewers that I trust say it's a AAA VR game. That's good enough for me.

Looks way less jank and more polished. Has an actual good story too apparently.

We really need to stop the "launch at x reviews on steam" threads because they mean nothing in the sense that it's too early to mean shit. The average always changes from day one to day 30.

You can only give a positive or negative review. Mostly positive means most people gave it a positive review - not that it is 'fairly good. At this stage most negative reviews will be performance issues or crashes.

Finished the game today, Alyx is still the king, this game lacks a lot of interactability, most objects are fixed around the world and that's a shame because this game would be perfect for scavenging and gave me the same vibe as Alyx when I went around exploring every box and shelve to search for resources...
The gunplay is pretty cool, too bad the game lacks some of the franchise's more iconic weapons like the bastard or the duplet for example, the stealth although very simple, was quite enjoyable as well imo.
In terms of story it's pretty cool, in some sections of the game I literally had shivers going down my spine due to how fucking creepy it was, overall the atmosphere was spot on.
I really enjoyed it, it's not as good as Alyx but it's a worthy VR game for sure, especially for people who like the Metro franchise.
Took me around 8 hours to finish.

Bounced off this hard. Muddy graphics (even on a high end PC set up) boring sequences of just standing around not doing much, poor levels of interactivity, dull storyline.

I decided not to finish it and come back when VR hits a drought. Coming off Batman, almost nothing comes close and there are plenty of other games coming out soon. I didn't think what I played was bad at all though.

The Steam store page has no information on the file size of the game. Is the Steam version streaming in cloud only or is there an actual file to be downloaded so if you want to play offline?
