Kind of wish I hadn't played AMR2 now. But damn the 3/2DS is really showing it's age now. Looks horrible.
Nearly all 3DS games look horrible in YouTube videos / screenshots, usually down to the resolution. They actually look a lot nicer running on the device.
I would buy it if it wasn't on the 3DS."I'll make any excuse to justify not buying a new Metroid so that i can continue complaining about the lack of Metroid" - a lot of Metroid 'fans' on gaf.
I would buy it if it wasn't on the 3DS.
"wtf i hate metroid now"Super Metroid had a scan visor too.

Not interested in playing a 2D Metroid game that runs at only 30 fps. Sorry Mercury Steam.

Like, Federation Force doesn't actually look like complete shit when actually running on the 3DS. In fact, it can look pretty impressive sometimes D;
This is what worries me, I put my 3DS to rest months before the Switch launch. The world is begging for Switch games and Nintendo keeps cock blocking their new system with awesome 3DS games, they could at least make simultaneous releases so people who already uphraded can enjoy all these games on Switch.
Because they've been struggling with split resources for years, and they should relish the opportunity to re-focus on a unified platform. Here's the thing, since the Switch launched my 3DS has seen limited usage. But I would never get rid of it. Hell, Nintendo has said repeatedly that the 3DS wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. They even announced a new member of the family that hasn't even launched yet. So my question is this, why would they launch a new version of a console and not release games for it?
I remember being shock at how good A Link Between Worlds looked and felt. That thing running in your hands at 60 fps, in 3D or not, was actually pretty good looking. Trailers made it look ugly and outdated IMO.
Don't expect any more Metroid games after Prime 4; that is, if it doesn't get cancelled due a lack of fan support.
the amiibo pose looks good like the box art.The game looks fantastic.
And I still can't get over how badass the boxart is.
Gonna buy the crap out of the amiibo 2-pack for the game too.

The visor is throwing me off as well, it's ALOT slimmer than it usually is.
Do we know if Sakamoto is producing this, or is he outright directing it?

Has Nintendo actually said why this is coming out on 3ds and not as a digital switch game yet? It's really baffling.
Why the fuck is this not coming out on switch?
A lot of folks ditched their 3ds for the switch (myself included), and we don't get a fucking 2d Metroid?
They are really trying to make me buy a 3ds for like the 3rd time huh.

I wonder if most of them even played the games or only read about them on the interwebz. The metroid purists in here are just embarassing. Game looks great. I'll probably pick it up.
My experience with the Metroid fanbase have driven me to deny my absolute love for this series in public. I'd be too ashamed to be associated with them (same goes for Silent Hill and Zelda tbh)I wonder if most of them even played the games or only read about them on the interwebz.
There were some comments from a poster earlier(in this or the other thread) that this game had been in development hell for a while, so that might explain why.
