Yeah, I like this. Maybe I should find a way to get people to print them out and stick them around various parts of the campus

So how are those pictures made? I've been wondering for a while. Surely they must alter the source images?

There's a program designed for it. It takes the images you give it and arranges them as close as possible ot the image.

Michael Moore makes a mosaic of them.

Bush actually got them killed.

I don't think I'd get on Mike's case for anything.

Photo mosaics are nice, but this one is cheating. Specifically, look at his collar; you'll see some pics that have white contrast on one half and are normal at the other side.

Whoever made this pic seems to have just slapped the faces on a grid and applied some sort of transparent filter of W over it.

Well how else would they do it? I don't think there are many albinos in the military.

I'm glad he's doing something with all his money and influence to effect change.... oh wait, this is about as useful as someone from GAF doing the same.

MM... if we ever meet in a dark alley.... lets just say I'm getting the death penalty.

How can he dishonor our fallen soldiers (after all he's just using this to take a stab at Bush and make a political statement) like this is absolutely sickening.

I won't debate if it was right or wrong to go to war.

But even still that doesn't give him the right to disrespect their memories by using it like he did.

"Two wrongs don't make a right" to quote an old adage.

I'll agree mildly with that since there is no guarantee that these soldiers would have supported the statement Moore is making, but the fact that Bush's extremely questionable actions resulted in their deaths tempers any disgust I can muster for Moore's experiment in photoshop.

As far as propaganda is concerned, Moore really is the unofficial Karl Rove of the Democratic party; he's just nowhere near as effective.

same as how Bush uses the memory of 9/11 at every oppurtunity as a reason to push the war in which those soldiers were killed?

Its not just Bush, its the entire republican party. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a republican candidate that didn't mention 9/11, support the troops, etc. during their campaign.

i.e. jim bunning campaign ads: "john kerry opposes the war on terror. vote for me because i'm not running against john kerry but i don't like him. oh yeah and that other guy i'm running against is a democrat too."

Well deep down Moore is probably happy that Bush got reelected. Now he can make his documentary on the healthcare system. If Kerry had won, he would have fixed all the problems and then what would Kerry do? Everyone would have stem cells and we would be partying in the streets.

This is how it's usually done from what I've seen.

You can do it yourself in gimp/ps.

This is old. Very old. Michael Moore is claiming it as his own? He never ceases to impress me.
Where do you see that Delta? I do not see any 'copyright Michael Moore' on that picture.

He's said before that he'd go after any politician that's reckless and stupid.

Though most Politicians fit that bill, very few are responsible for large international conflicts.

While I'm against the war in Iraq, I find this pretty tasteless. I don't like using soldiers, much less dead soldiers, for no other reason then to make a jab at someone, in this case Bush, but I would feel the same if it was directed at anyone. That includes the douchebag Republicans using 9/11 for nothing but political reasons.

Edit - Someone posted this at the DVD Talk Forum and found it pretty amusing, but that is probably because I don't like Moore.

This must have been what he meant when he called Nov 2nd "Payback Tuesday". Moore is such an asshat, he's been backing losing candidates since 2000. His endorsement is pretty much a kiss of death.

Uh, except if he backed some Senators and Reps that lost (which might of happened, I try to pay as little attention to him as possible), that would only consist of two people.

Uhhh, 3 actually. Nader, Kerry, General Clark. If he's backed anyone else, it hasn't been more than just a passing comment. I can't wait to see his mike's message later this week. Moore is miserable at admitting he's wrong.

Moore is miserable at admitting he's wrong.

So is the most powerful (or second most) man on Earth.

Ah, I just assumed it was Gore and Kerry. As I said, I try to pay as little attention to him as I can, since he just tends to annoy me.

Even if it was directed at Osama?

I can't say that a mosaic of Bin Laden made up all of the victims that died on 9/11 and other terrorist attacks that he was involved in would be in good taste. Remember and respect the people who died for who they were, not just as a political message.
