I was wondering why the "live" tag is active haha
The FTCoh my god, who said that ? the judge ?
it is tho, its completely different from console gaming and sub services because its shared differently.Yes. She's clearly not convinced that cloud gaming is a market on its own.
Nintendo has more than enough of my money already…I'm telling you. Nintendo is listening to this shit like

Similar market imo - people on a budget, kids, europoors, other 3rd world countries will be debating between these boxes. And may splurge for the PS5 anywaysI understand the Judge's questions here, but you can't compare the Switch to Xbox Series S, just because they cost the same price.
The question mark indicated a question. But understood. It seemed you responded to someone else saying they were going to lose because the judge doesn't get the market, so seems I wrongly assumed you were agreeing with them...
I think the FTC has a better case than they are presenting. I still don't think they would be granted an injunction in the U.S. even if they did put their best foot forward though, so maybe they're just phoning it in.
oh my god, who said that ? the judge ?
IDK, some dude was asking him that question. And he corrected them by saying it was the 8th gen around 2015/16, did not remember exact year between the two.Who the fuck said that?
You forgot the new revenue stream, GamePass. That's available on PC too.
I know that, i'm a pc gamer. But the 3rd party cut is the real money maker. Ask Sony, they can't survive without CODPc gamepass and no hardware loss is a nice bonus tho.
Welp, looks like it's GGs for injunction. I look forward to Microsoft continuing to buy out entire publishers, because that's what they'll do.
The minute someone like Ubisoft shows turmoil, here they'll come, same for Sony.
I hope everyone looks forward to a guaranteed acquisition war, because that's exactly how Sony will respond if it goes through.
None of this will be good for gaming going forward.
The lawyer asked when gamepass came about to determine if there was enough data.Who the fuck said that?
Motha!.................There is no prove for either outcome so I don't know what to tell you. If you think yours is a prove pls never work at a court.
since you like courts a lot, you then can droll over CMA filing that I shared earlier, it is by a lawyer who works in courts after all.If you think yours is a prove pls never work at a court.
Sorry, I did that because I was distilling the sentiment down from 'doesn't get the market' down into incapable (which is the same thing at this level) - was meant to represent airquotes, but can see how that might have been confusing as to mean a direct quote.Putting the word "idiot" in quotes threw me. No worries though. I think this judge gets the market about as well as most judges would. She seems on point to me. The FTC and their witnesses just sound silly. You can tell which lawyers are getting paid by trillion dollar corporations and which lawyers are on the tax payer's dime.

Never understood why you "throttle up" laser blasts. It's so dumb.
The judge has decided against the FTC. She is literally roasting their experts on the stand now.
Do you have a proof that it is a timed exclusive? So this timed exclusive is different from other timed exclusives because an unofficial listing, NOT from Sony or Square, that lists Bloodborne as a 3rd party exclusive says so?
This is your undeniable and irrefutable proof?
Sure Jan.

EDIT, I may not hear well what expert said...Who the fuck said that?

A car is a car."Roasting". Yeah OK, sure. She seems uneducated about the difference between a market and a medium comprising a range of markets, if anything.

I now remembered I can provide!
- Original announcement of the game only mentioned ps5 and PC
- Microsoft own statement to CMA................ which not a single entity of the opposite party called it out!
- historical precedence from FF7R
since you like courts a lot, you then can droll over CMA filing that I shared earlier, it is by a lawyer who works in courts after all.
Yeah "the survey you didn't read?" / mocking him as esteemed."Roasting". Yeah OK, sure. She seems uneducated about the difference between a market and a medium comprising a range of markets, if anything.
Different markets can share the same content. Type of content isn't necessarily what makes them unique, not in and of itself. Delivery of the content and the market's influence on certain choices of content in that market also help define markets as being unique to one another.
People are soo shortsighted it's insane. It will be all downwards from here on out.
What precedence?Motha!.................![]()

Yeah "the survey you didn't read?" / mocking him as esteemed.
You are right. She was just some uneducated pleb asking for him to please educate her.
We all will if these companies get what they want in 10-15 years. Well, I won't. But you get what I mean.I'm confused. Who is playing COD from the cloud? Come on man.
sorry but I am not aware that we have the details of exclusivity agreement for FF7R. Can you share it with me?What precedence?
FF7R and FF7R Intergrade exclusivity ended, if Square doesn't release the game for Xbox it's because they don't think it is viable to port, debug and optimize 2 versions of the game for the pitiful amount of sales it would have there.
Publishers want to make money, not get nervous in hopes of breaking even.
why are you being an asshole about it, commend her for trying to learn so she can make the proper decision.Yeah "the survey you didn't read?" / mocking him as esteemed.

Which quote?
Only one i see is this with sub service.
I think a judge that hears Federal Trade cases likely knows more about markets than you, bud. How's that change the fact the judge doesn't seem to know what factors contribute towards marking distinct markets?
People are soo shortsighted it's insane. It will be all downwards from here on out.
That's not what he said. He said no it didn't exist during the 360 it was mid 8th gen. He wasn't sure of the year, guessed 2016/2017.FTC lawyer: Do you know if Gpass existed in X360 gen 7?
Expert: I am not surer, I dont remenber if it already existed in x360.
Nothing would be more karma than Sony somehow buying take 2 and making GTA exclusive... not that I think it would happen but can you imagine. Even Capcom which seems to be on a huge upriseIt's being cheered by a bunch of people who don't even play Call of Duty nor any of ABK's titles, who are under the impression that MS will buy whoever they want failing to realize the shoe might be on the other foot if ABK goes through, and we will be talking about franchises the hardcore actually care about.
given how much some on here like to complain about Street Fighter V, imagine if Sony bought CapcomIt's being cheered by a bunch of people who don't even play Call of Duty nor any of ABK's titles, who are under the impression that MS will buy whoever they want failing to realize the shoe might be on the other foot if ABK goes through, and we will be talking about franchises the hardcore actually care about.
She even admitted before the case that she is not too privy about the game industry. This is a "learn as you go" establishing case law.I think a judge that hears Federal Trade cases likely knows more about markets than you, bud.
why are you being an asshole about it, commend her for trying to learn so she can make the proper decision.
gaming isn't everything, and most people don't care about gaming
You may be right. I'm going to editThat's not what he said. He said no it didn't exist during the 360 it was mid 8th gen. He wasn't sure of the year, guessed 2016/2017.
Tough act to follow.10 minute break and then the next FTC witness.
Apparently if Jim sent a list of Capcom games to be on Xbox and include Street Fighter II, its great.given how much some on here like to complain about Street Fighter V, imagine if Sony bought Capcom
have a feeling a lot of those cheering Xbox's acquisition spree would suddenly be complaining
of course if it weren't for double standards some would have no standards
