Absolutely. Its the regulators that forced Apple and Google to allow other storefronts.

That MS wants to compete there is fine but turning Xbox into a mobile brand to do it doesn't seem good to me.

But I'm not a mobile gamer - maybe a lot of people want MS to go that way 🤷‍♂️

Your assessment is exactly why I said Google and Apple are like also-ran companies compared to Microsoft.

Even 2nd in the world Microsoft are probably more powerful and dangerous than all those no hopers combined. I 'm not a fan of Microsoft's contribution in products, but I can respect their assessment of markets, to understand where they need to be ahead of time - other than them famously missing the boat with Windows Mobile back in 2000.

Releasing a storefront on a platform doesn't mean they're transitioning the entire business to that platform, lmao. Xbox still releases games on their console even though they have a PC storefront.

Let's assume you understand how these arguments could be effective, and step us through them.

Arguments can be "good" or "bad", not "powerful", you sound like a Tom Warren type using a words to pre-empt a win for their arguments.

But even if Microsoft think they are good arguments, this is a country of FA Cups, were the expectation isn't that the disadvantage team wins, but that they take the fight to the opposition, and that's why the cup is so notorious for giant killing upsets each year. And that's what I'm most aggrieved about in this process, is that Wrexham CMA are capitulating to the Microsoft Chelsea before they've even got their boots on.

Didn't google allow other store fronts way before that? I remember installing the Amazon store on my android phone a long time ago before I switched to iPhone.
