Question: Does installing the dev preview delete anything? Will I have to reinstall programs?
Not if you do an upgrade.
Working so far. Now I need to see how games runs.
That color combination doesn't look too hot.

good
You can get rid of them.Sure, its a lot more compact and neater but I still those tiles are redundant. If i wanted mail I would just open outlook. If I wanted to know the weather I would find out. there's no need for all those tiles IMO
My apologies if this has been asked, has this been legitimately confirmed to be free for win 8.1 users or was that just a rumor?
How do those compare to whatever OS you were using before?
wondering if i should upgrade to 8 first and then get beta 10 just in case it is free for 8 users. would suck if i find out its not free for win 7 users. No one knows, they didn't say one way or the other. It's not coming out for another year, so it's going to be awhile before you know.

i want to get in early with 10 though. i don't want to be left behind again.I wouldn't expect it to be free for 7 users, but I would just wait till they say one way or the other. You'll have plenty of time to get 8 or whatever then.

I guess that makes sense, but how many people are gonna be using programs compatible with Windows 95/98/ME on Windows 10?
Has anyone tried oblytile on windows 10 yet?
I don't like this start menu, it's harder to find crap now.

So if I'm on 8.1 I still go the ISO route to install Win10? Does it do it as an upgrade?
Thanks,
You can do both.
It's the other way around: some programs are performing that check so they will refuse to run on Windows 95/98/ME.
How is it harder?
Downloading now. I'll try it out in a VM first before moving on to my laptop.
