Really though. If anything, Isolation was the unorthodox game coming from that studio. RTS has always been CA's bread and butter

My mistake. Halo Wars 2 could easily be the best RTS of all time. We haven't seen anything, so I can't comment about it. I meant that there are already many amazing RTSes on PC that are better than Halo Wars 1 by a landslide.

Pretty weak overall. It's clear that QB, Crackdown, and Scalebound were all announced too early and the footage shows. I was at least expecting more concrete demos of the latter two but nope. Indie stuff was nice, especially We Happy Few and it's always a pleasant surprise to see IGA show up. And while Forza, Halo and Tomb Raider had pretty decent showings at E3, I could give any less of a shit about them here. Still Halo Wars 2 was a neat announcement but a lot of the games shown, especially Scalebound and Crackdown, didn't seem all that compelling. Nothing is really standing out that makes me want to get an Xbox One.

Scalebond : Very strong , loving it.
Bloodstained : second new character is ok . i'm very fine with IGA with a whip on stage
Quantum break ( video game ) : very good.but it was more of the same that was already shown
Quantum break ( Tv show) : disapointing
Crackdown : good destruction , meh at the trailers they showed otherwise
Just cause 3 : it explodes ( very good )
Tomb raider : those guard deapth of vision were broken.. or they don't deserve to be guards. aside from that it's kinda more of the same thing as before ... i expect ..more ??

Well DS III is available on other platforms, TR had a terrible showing, and I thought Scalebound looked good but early. For the most part though, MS continue to preach to the converted, so I can't get excited about what they offer.

Think the conference would have worked better at 60 minutes. Conference aside, Microsoft has a pretty damn stellar lineup of games next year.

I can see Crackdown 3 slipping to 2017 to be honest, looked VERY early.
Scalebound looked pretty cool, but I agree the main character might get tiresome.
Worst thing for MS is that the best actual games shown IMO would be Just Cause 3 (sleeper GOTY!) and Dark Souls 3, both of which are not exclusive.
Quantum Break looks pretty sick, but I'm sceptical that it will come together considering how ambitious they are trying to be - time travel always gives me concern that it won't disappear up it's own arse.

Not as exciting as E3 and man, that Halo 5 stuff was poor. I can see why they did what they did, along with the FIFA stuff though. At the end of the day, e-sports are huge and getting bigger, whilst FIFA will sell more than the entire output of several countries combined. GAF can get pretty snooty about the mainstream gamer but they pay developers bills far more than most of us.

Because in Europe they aren't selling for shit. And nothing shown today will change that. 300 for the console could have changed that. In fact I got my XB1 for under 300 last week.

This is actually a good point. If they had shown some of the good stuff from this at E3 and just skipped Gamescom, I'd probably have rated their E3 conference a lot higher. Instead we got a decent conference and an average one instead of just 1 great one.

Why did this thread turn into wars? Seriously this conference wasn't attacking anyone just showing cool games. The first party lineup looks fantastic, I don't like that they made Lara croft this dark murdery one woman army, but the tomb aspects look cool, and better yet everyone will have a chance to play this eventually. Crackdown looks awesome and scalebound just looks fucking incredible, also halo wars 2 was a rad surprise announcment, I'd give it an 8 out of ten personally. I get that Xbox isn't the most popular system around here but try ignoring that and try to appreciate these games on there own merits.
Your argument was that there was "nothing there" for people disinterested in MS core franchises... Clearly... There was stuff there that were not MS core franchises, just saying...
