PC gamers are not PS gamers. Also GT is nowhere to be seen I the top 15 games played on PS…. FH5 has more chance of penetrating that top tan because it simply has a broader appeal than a sim. It didn’t matter if halo is not in the PC top 15. Helldivers era is not in the PS5 too 15. The fact that these games are not even registering with Sonys own da base has nothing to do with the impact of MS games on this charts when they arrive but we shall see soon enough, eh?

The point of that is obviously to show the different segments, not how much money Sony makes.

Who said Sony made more money than Microsoft? Nobody has made that claim. The argument is that Sony are not just a "PlayStation company".
Just because PlayStation is their biggest asset doesn't mean they're just the PlayStation company.

Yeah it's like arguing who does it benefit more when Sony releases certain games on switch. It's free money for Nintendo. Sony had to do the hard work to make the game. It's why your own games doing well on your own platform is so important.

It was a bold strategy in the beginning, gobble up all available IP using your bottomless war chest, swell your user base by billions, compete with Google, Amazon, Etc. They were so focused on trying to "SEGA" PlayStation that they "SEGA'D" themselves.
At least they have the IP to show for it, now, they are pivoting (Probably at the direction of the CEO of MS & Shareholders).

For all we know the biggest revenues come in on the first big sale - maybe they are just speeding that process up.
Its fine. The high profile ones will get the bulk of the sales. Its a wide enough range where it won't matter.
MS might also be doing this to get the devs familiar with working on a PS5 console. In a couple of years day one should be the norm. Also....MS gotta get that revenue up quick.

For MS and Xbox right now, it is more important and priority to port the games to PS5 and Switch 2 as quickly as possible and start making more money than their own console. If PS5 already accounts for 64% of their income from game sales...in a few months with Switch 2 it will be 80% or more.

It is still just a rumor, but so was Indiana Jones to PS5. Just a matter of time before it is announced. So speculative, but still worth the discussion.
I mean..Forza Horizon 5 just got announced for PS5. It is one of the orig big 3 that some said would be the sign that everything's coming. And some said would never come.
