If that's to be believed I'm mainly interested in KI Season 3, Ori: DE, and Below.

I've seen enough of Quantum Break and we've already seen the Forza 6 leaked DLC unless it's news that it's going to be released on Windows 10.

Nothing big I suppose. It could be but at the same time, MS gets domains (and subdomains) like this all the time to protect IP.

EDIT: Hmm...still interesting.

Microsoft can't register a sub domain owned by someone else.

This is intentional on Valve's part. Either because of business reasons or trolling.

found on reddit, no idea what this means if anything at all

There was something similar with Origin before and it turned out to be nothing. Maybe MS going the way of Uplay on PC. Force Steam users to use Win10 client after they launch their game via Steam.

Or maybe Microsoft has purchased Valve. Nadella made Gaben an offer he couldn't refuse.

Yea, I just noticed that. That's why I said "still interesting"...E3 is going to be crazy.

Has Spencer, Major Nelson or Greenburg started hyping E3 yet? I recall at least one of them pre-hyped E3 as early as January in the last 2 years. They're oddly quiet this year.

"We'll take your customer service mess off your hands."

"Oh thank fuck."

-Nadella and Gaben, probably.

It's February, e3 is in June and gamescom is in August, ms like their big events too much to go and blow out on something in February.

This makes a lot of sense for what it is: the chance for press to play their expanded Spring line-up, do some interviews etc

But why are they having developer interviews about platform experiences if they don't announce anything?

I'm not expecting much from games, but it would be nice to have some announcements to give more detail on how xbone and win10 will merge.

GDC is in a month and features a talk probably more likely to suit that.

Perhaps they just mean XB1/W10 focused interviews, I don't know

The "Origin" thing is related to akami services that lots of services use. It is unrelated to Origin of EA fame. This Xbox thing is specifically referring to Xbox, but the reasons are obviously not known. Valve have made a xbox.steamgames.com dns in August last year apparently, so this isn't some accident.

No Gears of War 4? I mean the Beta was announced for Spring... wouldnt it be the right time to show something there?

Could be cross play.
Could be Vive/Xbox One compatibility (similar to Oculus situation).
Could be everything you ever imagined.
It's probably nothing, though.

Xbox and steam partnership would be the biggest thing to happen in gaming. It's probably wishful thinking to be able to buy games on steam and play them on Xbox. It would be a dream come true

Cross post about the domain thing:
Ah I remember it. I looked for it after I first found it in 2014. The domain was set up when HL2 released for the first Xbox. The link is in the manual (for support purposes). If someone has it, it would be nice to have it confirmed. It could also be in the Orange Box 360 version.

You're not looking at the big picture from Microsoft's point of view.

The original Xbox was conceived because MS thought Sony would threaten Windows by taking over the living room. 15 years later and Windows has lost huge market share in total OS (mobile, desktop, tablet) to Apple and Google.

Microsoft stands to lose a lot more than the revenue from Live subs if Windows fails entirely.

They are using Xbox for Windows today on the grounds where the OS fight is happening. Took them long enough, I say.

.

Rumor with vague source.

But still, with Quantum Break releasing day and date it's not completely unthinkable more AAA games will follow suit, but I would not bet on Forza personally.
Spencer said a while back that the demand for racing games on PC was low.
There isn't a tremendous request today for racing games like Forza on PC

I have no particular interest in Halo but I believe if Microsoft were to allocate ressources for a PC version Halo the MCC would certainly do much better sales wise than any Forza.
In fact it has to be THE most requested Xbox One exclusive on PC.

Did you mean new content for Forza 6 on Xbox One or for W10?

This is data that was given to me...not anything that came out of my ass.

What? Where did I say you pulled it out of your ass? I was trying to get some clarification about wether you meant that the new content was meant for the W10 release or Xbox One dlc.

Oh, don't get it twisted...I didn't mean it in a way that I was angry or whatever. I apologize for coming off that way (now that I reread it, I can see why). Literally, I copied and pasted what was given to me. Sorry for that, ain't mean it that way. :)

What do you think are the chances of them saying on Thursday: "Starting right now, Gears of War Ultimate Edition is available to purchase on the Windows Store"?

It's a spring release, so it could come in march or it could come that very day, it would be something nice to launch during his speech. I think it's supposed to come out in March and that's a tuesday so it would make sense.

I think the biggest thing he could announce is free w10 version if you purchased digital version. That would be nice. Just like QB.

I could see it happening. Or at least fairly soonish.

That would be amazing. In any case Gears UE is a day one purchase unless the PC version is downright atrocious. But knowing The Coalition it won't be and Microsoft are surely counting on it plus other AAA games to draw PC gamers to their store.
