Mother of all Fucks

Well. Blizzard certainly isn't going to help them end the run of games receiving negative backlash that's for sure. Diablo 4 steam reviews dropping any day now.

With this many studios now owned by them let's hope they actually become proficient at managing them soon.

Seeing it just makes it even more ridiculous considering they haven't even got to grips with just XGS and Zenimax.

Hearing Phil speak about how they handled Arkane and Redfall is absolutely mind boggling.

That image only exists because they don't know how to manage their own Studios . I guarantee you a bunch of these will cease to exist in a few years.

It's a massive roster, though it's shocking how little quality output it's actually produced. Are we better for MS owning such a huge chunk of the industry? Probably not.

I see a big lot of names, but numbers mean nothing from them lol. Their management is beyond fetid.
They should learn from Nintendo.

I really hope that things like the Oblivion Remaster that they are going to release are successful. I would love to see them go back and remaster a load of games. They need their own nixxes like studio just for remasters, several preferably.

Only really interested in the Bethesda and Obsidian side of them. After OW2 and D4, it's very hard to be interested in Activision unless they go Warcraft 4/Starcraft 3 on me. As for original XBS, only Inxile and the dudes who made Age of Empire and Age of Mythology. Hoping for sequels to those as well.

That chart kind of sucks! It is so grayish or blackish. Like the games lineup. I hope they release Hell Blade 2 anyday now. That crap was announced before the console even Launched. And we have seen something like a couple of CGIs, a "demo" and that is it.
But MS is good at streamlining turd after turd, I guess Gamepass is covered for years to come.

but can they do +90 metacritic
Well, they did. I hope more 90+ will come, and in my heart I hope that Bethesda receives a revitalization, a sort of rebirth and rejuvenation of a game dynamics that are now a bit obsolete. I loved Fallout3, I enjoyed Fallout 4, and I really hope number 5 will finally be a breath of fresh air and somehow innovative in the gameplay mechanics, better AI, etc.
About the acquisition in general, I hope it will be handled in the best possible way, time will tell. Sure the machine which will mostly benefit of it will be the Next XBox, with a much more interesting launch line-up, and more exclusive games coming out in the first 2 years of its life-cycle. We'll see.

The only ones I truly care about from all the acquired ip is elder scrolls, doom and fallout. I couldn't care less for anything Activision and the rest are mostly meh.

Also, the fact that Microsoft will still languish behind their competitors even after this just shows how badly managed xbox is right now and has been for a long time. its insane that such massive acquisitions won't change their position. They could even add EA to it and it would still be the same.

Padding this list out with stuff like Skylanders is a bit cheap. You guys own ZORK!

Mother of all fucks indeed. So far, the fruits of that labor have produced Redfall and Starfield.

It's a shame more than anything. Those franchises should all be multiplat, but here we are. Only console manufacturer in the biz that jacked many 3rd party properties from other brands permanently. But, hey, it makes their zealots wet, so I guess that's something.

I hope I can buy an official print of this signed by the Xbox team so I can hang it in my gaming den, so dope, #XboxKnowsMe.

MS's approach to anything: throw money at it until the problems go away.
It didn't work in the past. Can't see it working now.
They weren't able to manage the few studios they had before, why on earth should we believe they will be able to now?

Today is an important day for video game fans. Today's step marks the first step towards the destruction of Playstation. They have been leaders for too long and I cannot accept this. Jim Ryan, despite the sales records, has sown badly and the harvest is already bad but still not enough. Here's to the slow and inexorable defeat of Playstation!

But also...Microsoft is worth 2.52 trillion. They're strategies never work though.

The gamepass filler factory line is assembled!!

Let's see how much down in quality ATK and Bethesda games go without Playstation sales and with xbox/pc sales cannibalized by GP over the next 10 years.
