GAF has had a Sony bias for a while before the PS4 or X1 were revealed, 4chan even called it out and the Sony people quickly tried to dismiss it. It's okay to have a forum that has a Sony bias, as long as they at least own up to it.

The title is meant to mock the very idea I'm biased - if there's one thing I am known for on neoGAF, it's taking the hate to everyone equally. Pretty much any long term neoGAFer can say that much about me. But I don't need to prove myself about that: the only people who ever seem to need to are the fanboys themselves, constantly saying "I'm not a fanboy" while doing the most blatantly obvious fanboy bullshit imaginable.

It was prevalent in the no DRM thread to the point where people were arguing that introducing MS into the whole thing would mean the message would become diluted, it's prevalent in almost any One related thread down the so called funny title edits that make any worthwhile discussion impossible.
But let's pretend that there isn't any bias and this forum is as balanced as everyone likes to pretend it is, when in fact it's about as balanced as arguing against you was when you were still a mod.

Microsoft doesn't say much of anything other than "We'll talk about that in the future". It's why they get a lot of deserved grief. I'm not condoning the idiotic "xbone lol, kinect kinect kinect" trolling, but any comment about Microsoft's DRM plans and their inability to voice their actual direction are completely valid. But that's what happens when you appear to have 5 different people giving 5 different answers to 1 very specific question.
The guy doing the demo stuck his hand in his pocket every single time he addressed the device. I couldn't believe the lack of respect MS had for the viewing public. He didnt even try to hide what was going on.

I have the Lumia 920 and it's great, I highly recommend them (the new ones look nice too, and they're a bit lighter which is my main complaint with mine, even though I'm used to it now). It is going to be interesting to see how MS unifies their platforms over time, or finds ways to integrate them better.
Yeah, Apple seems to do that fairly well right now. I'm curious to see what they have planned with the Xbox One/Windows8/Windows Phone 8 integration.

Every forum has bias, but on neoGAF it's spread across remarkably evenly - just look at the polls about Sony after they announced PS3 was $599.99. All of neoGAF was fucking taking a shit on Sony. Just look at the disaster of Wii U and Vita, all of neoGAF taking a dump on its situation. Never a day goes by without that shit.
And now the Xbox One is the next in line. And why is that, Miles? Is that because of aliens? Is it because of Atlantis or mecha Hitler? Is it because of the crystals aligning or the planets being in the wrong place?
No, it's because Microsoft revealed a giant fucking goose egg and the vast majority of people know it. 90% - NINETY FUCKING PERCENT - of neoGAF said the Xbox One Reveal was a 5/10 or less. It's time to deal with the reality of the situation and stop trying to pretend everyone is being so mean to Microsoft and their Xbox.

More hyperbole. As mainly a PC gamer, DRM is a way of life. It didn't kill PC gaming. Heck it's stronger now than ever. To claim this is catastrophic makes the rest of the points you're making harder to take serious, although I do take them seriously and you are actually making many valid points.

there are plenty of people that are in an uproar who's only intent is to try and dance on Xbox One's grave... the amount of vitriol coming from some is unwarranted for a product that nobody is being forced to purchase and for which they have other options.
The mature thing for most people to do is to choose the other product and walk away form conversations that regard a product that they are no longer interested for whatever reason
and a LOT of people don't care about the online or the DRM solutions being proposed

THe problem is that the Xbox One's policies have long-reaching and dire implications for the industry as a whole. If we could contain the Xbox One's terrible policies to the platform and knew for a fact it wouldn't infect anywhere else, that'd be a thing. But we know that's not the case. This is Microsoft and publisher's trojan horse, and they aren't even being particularly good at hiding it.
Go in and see. But make sure you back up WHY you think that, because I always back up my reasons. If you do that while calling the PS4 a piece of shit, you'll be heard.
That's always the missing element when people don't like the intensity of the language being used. I do believe Xbox One - as a console - is a piece of shit, and everyone knows why, because I explain myself in detail. It has nothing to do with games, which I'm sure it'll have a lot of good ones. 360 was, after all, my favorite system of this gen for most of the time we were in the generation.
