Interview: Mindseye's Huge Plans For Post-Launch & Thoughts On Pre-Launch Negativity

Good shit man. Give these fuckers a chance. Glad they have my money.
That's a good take to have in his shoes but does nothing to instill confidence for a consumer.

If it flops the studio is done for and their roadmap will never see the light of day.

It's a good chance for us to look at this product and go:
-Is there potential to fix this with some patches?
-Is this dev competent enough to deserve a chance at a sequel?

Too often we shit on a games initial launch when a sequel would fix problems and create a storied franchise. Callisto protocol deserved better so did order 1886 and days gone.

However if this is clearly a game in alpha stage being sold for money, then you're scamming folks to create a money funnel to finish the game. That's not how this works…

Being intentionally mysterious and not just explaining what your game is to get people interested or dare I say excited is is going to get your entire studio bodied.

Everyone is out of a job in two months, mark my words.

This is literally the definition of a game which doesn't have to be great, or even good. It just has to be decent and fun.

From everything i've heard and seen, it will be exactly that once/if all the bugs are fixed and the game is polished up.

Think a lot of people have far too unrealistic expectations for this for no real reason whatsoever.

I'll be honest I don't even know what this is.

Is it third person shooter? Is it a RPG? Is it a gta like open world game? Is it need for speed like?

Like wtf is it?

It's a linear, cinematic third person cover shooter. If you played the Mafia 1 remake or Mafia 2 the structure is similar to that. Mission after mission with the city as the backdrop. No side missions. No collectible bs. It's the antithesis to the open world drivel that's been shat out nearly the entire generation.

I like linear cover shooters so this sounds like my cup of tea.

Call it early access and people will give you fullprice money if your game has half decent potential.

I still really don't know how to feel about this game. Something about it just doesn't feel polished or solid. I hope that it does well for them, just something about it looks off to me.

Timed driving side quest in a car that sounds like an angry Miss Piggy. I've got my popcorn ready for how this game has turned out

The fact that they are banning people uploading footage one day before release tells me everything I need to know about this game. And its a shame because I really miss third person shooters

The reviews are going to be a massacre

They are trying to hide this shit so much before the digital release lmao

My negative joking posts were also removed from their subreddit

I can't believe something like this is released in 2025. In terms of gameplay I wanted to say its stuck in the 360 generation but then I think about GR:AW, Gears, Vanquish and Binary Domain and just no. Those were better.

This just looks like a turd.
