Ok guys what did I miss? Goes back to last back.

Someone in the crowd, who may or may not be affiliated with Antonio Silva's camp, used some sort of MK Ultra derived hypnosis on Fedor, causing him to forget everything he trained for. Fedor then lost to Antonio Silva who was only half gormandized with steroids.

Not only did he forget but he did the opposite of what he trained! His brain was gormandized with hyptnotic suggestion.

How's VIP Fan Expo? I was wondering if I should just buy this instead of tickets to the event itself. It sounds like a pretty enticing package. It's around the same price I planned on paying for tickets $230.

Fan Expo's fun but the lines...oh god the lines. It's worth going to but you better be gormandized with patience.

Seems like the end of K-1 is getting near. I wonder if an American company is interested in taking it over. Would love to see monthly K-1 events (besides a world tournaments) like UFC and Strikeforce has and gain the popularity it deserves.

I wonder if there's room for in the states with how big MMA has become.

In other news upcoming K-1 HW fighter Hesdy Gerges was arrested today in Amsterdam because he's a suspect in a 128kg cocaine trade case :(

I actually think that MMA's popularity and seeing the crowds appreciation for good & hard stand up in MMA matches is an indication that a stand up only "K-1 level" division could become very popular in the States too.

Lol what the fuck?

This isn't unprecedented.

Russians can be crazy superstitious. During the Cold War Chess matches between Bobby Fischer and the Soviet champions, they pulled crazy superstitious shit, like hiring "shamans" to sit in the audience and put "curses" and jinxes on their opponents and shit. The competitors were obsessed with this sort of thing.

Bigfoot Silva's manager responds to allegations of witchdoctorynessfullity.

Jeez, I got caught. I will have to come out with the truth now. I hired a Macumbeiro (Brazilian witch doctor) and we killed a black chicken on the crossroads. After this, over a few beers, I showed the witch doctor Fedor’s fights, and he was worried that a chicken wouldn’t be enough, so we went out and killed a black goat just to make sure. Very potent stuff. Really messed Fedor’s brain waves up."

"We wanted to try that other military stuff Voronov is talking about, but it’s expensive technology and we were broke. The chicken and the goat came out way cheaper. Witch doctor is a friend; he did it for a few beers and an autograph.

He neglected to mention the enchanted pizza that Bigfoot ate after the weigh in which gave him all that weight afterwards.

Bigfoot had that prepared victory statement to deflect any possible suspicion.

don't know about that. if people want to see striking only they will tune into boxing. kickboxing only events won't ever get big here for that reason.

I dunno I think it could be pretty huge with the right people behind it. While I know most people think of them as the devil, I think Zuffa could make K-1 massive over here if they really devoted resources towards it.

It won't happen of course, but I think it'd be doable.

Have you seen K-1? It's way more exciting than boxing these days.

i don't know about that. i think boxing is still pretty exciting these days. i'm not one of those people that hate boxing because i love mma. besides america usually just supports 2 of something and that is usually the limit. nfl and college football and the nba and college basketball. the wnba isn't doing so well for itself. kim kardashian and Kourtney kardashian. Khloe Kardashian is the odd man out. :P

some interesting things from Jon Anik's chat on ESPN.com today: He predicts a Fedor/Hendo fight at a catch weight (would love to see that) and also said that Overeem hasn't even gotten paid yet for his last K1 tourney?

Feijao is gonna tool Hendo which will put a stop to anything of the sort with Fedor, and Overeem already said in an interview last weekend that he was still waiting on his K-1 World GP loot. The deadline for him to get paid was apparently 48 hours from the time of the interview.

I honestly think FEG is done. I also think that if The Reem wins this GP that he'll sign with the UFC not too long after as a result.

I dunno about that...Hendo specializes in destroying Brazilians. Feijao's also never fought anyone on that level before (Hendo's a huge step up from King Mo).

Dude lost to Mike Kyle ffs.
