Don't forget the Texeria and Wright got hurt. There were some notable absentees, but that's the case for most teams, besides Japan. And we're talking about baseball here, it's just goofy to only have 2 games to either move on or get eliminated. Too much luck involved, imagine if the world series was best out of 3.

The problem is baseball is too hard to predict. The worst team in the MLB vs. the Best team can very easily lose 2 of 3 or even get swept. Does anyone really think Curacao is better than Cuba? They just had the better matchups.
