They probably offered him some advice that he'd be more likely to get an offer from them if he strung together consecutive good seasons.

and 4 can't miss prospects likely means 1 good player down the line and 3 replacement level players so that seems about fair. (top 100 prospects are never sure things)
I am just hoping that if the trade is made that people feel the white sox hands down won.

Billy Hamilton to the Rangers would be a good fit, especially if the Rangers want speed on the basepaths.

Now that you mention it, I think Dozier to the Yanks makes more sense then Dozier to the Dodgers.
I'd say Severino would probably do the trick, but I don't know what the Twins want in regards to a good return.
I love how teams dropped their panties for the Cubs years ago, giving prospects out the ass for half season rentals, but Cutch with 2 years of team control and a team friendly contract? Slow your roll bruh.
Hosmer kind of sucks though. He's made very little progress since being called up. Might as well trade him now

I was expecting higher. Stanton was what, 13/320?
True. But he was hobbled much of the first half of the season with nagging thumb/knee injuries and showed definite flashes of rebounding to his old self August onward. It's not like a 30 year old player who averaged 5.9 WAR over 6 seasons, and still has 2 years of team control at $14 million/year is going to come at a bargain.

The lack of posting limits in the NPB leads me to believe big name INTL free agents under 25 will go there to play for a few years with a handshake agreement in place to be posted when they've accrued enough value.
I hate how opt outs are becoming a thing, kind of surprised that the CBA didn't deal with that.
