MLB 2016 Regular Season |OT2| - ASMR Edition ...with Ketchup

Yeah, he does. I just think that chances are, this sort of prodigious power surge he is having is not going to last forever.

And I wonder how much of this is due to him playing the majority of his games in very hitter friendly parks, then when he was playing in Angel Stadium or Safeco.

He's hit 2 dingers in AL East parks that aren't Camden Yards.

He averaged over 30 homers a season while in Anaheim.

12 of his 38 dingers this year were no doubters, second most in baseball. He has one homer that would've left only 3 parks, and only 2 others that would've been out of less than 20 parks.

His contact and plate discipline numbers are all within his career norms, aside from the amount of pitches he's chasing out of the zone which is actually down for the second straight year. He is pulling the ball more and elevating more, his ground ball rate is at a career low. However his flyball to homer ratio is also at a career high. He's also running a career high in hard hit ball %.

He's not doing anything exceptionally flukey at all. He's become a bit more pull happy but that's about it.

Dan Altavilla making his debut today and this dude has some nasty stuff. A fastball that touches 100 and a nasty slider around 90. He looked great.

Nice to find gems in a blowout.

Mike Foltynewicz pitching well makes me happy in pants

Didn't know John Freeman was a fan of the Barves.

Washington Post: Baseball's minor leaguers pursue dreams below poverty line

hey trickled into the mid-July night, a rain-shortened loss beginning their Friday night early. A 25-year-old catcher hung back.

Matt Paré chatted with teammates and underwent a long treatment session as other Augusta GreenJackets players exited through a clubhouse door wedged open with a broken bat. He kept himself awake with a marathon shower.

By the time Paré dressed, he had the clubhouse to himself, along with what was left of the GreenJackets’ postgame buffet. “What have we got, Sarge?” he called toward clubhouse manager Kristopher Nichols, a former Army drill sergeant who appreciates — and usually rewards — Paré’s resourcefulness.

Paré is the oldest player for the San Francisco Giants’ Class A affiliate, and he begins most homestands by waiting out his teammates in order to stockpile free food.

Far away from Major League Baseball’s mighty salaries and Hollywood glitz, Paré is among the thousands of minor leaguers who survive on baseball earnings below the federal poverty line. Baseball has in recent years parlayed renewed popularity into record earnings, leveraging apparel and media demands into $9.5 billion in revenue last year; its 30 franchises averaged $23 million in profits in 2015, and many of its minor league affiliates saw attendance figures and team values continue a steady climb.

Gsellman was a fringe prospect when he sat at 90-91.

Dude sits at 95 now with bite, he's a legitimate TOR level prospect now with his curve and slider mix.

Just hope he's good at hiding the roids.

What's the record for most injuries in a season? Mets have probably destroyed that record by now.

If we DL'ed people we probably would. As it stands, the Dodgers this year have broken the DL record with like 30 guys on it at some point.

I was in the middle of posting about how the Orioles have adjusted their approach to Sanchez and made him look mortal at the plate and he strokes a double.
