Yankees ticket prices and resale policy, and:
“Quite frankly... the fan you know may be someone who has never sat in premium location. So that’s a frustration to our existing fan base,”
keep Yankees villainy on top.

Stop letting Dyson pitch holy shit.

Dyson is almost certainly going to disappear for a while after today. Four blown saves in four attempts, one of which was a grand slam and another (today) where the offense didn't have to get the ball out of the infield to win the game. It hurts, GAF. It hurts.

Oh almost forgot - it was a pretty perfect summary of the Rangers bullpen this afternoon when the announcer mentioned Heredia isn't a home run hitter right before he went long on Barnette.

Baseball was a mistake.

The past two seasons seem like karmic payback for hacking the Astros.

They were only a game out of the wild card last season though! Plus they had dingers!!

This season is if you took the shitty offense of 2014-2015 and combined it with the shirt defense and pitching of 2016... there's nothing redeemable about it.

Red Sox fans have no room to talk about devil magic

you've become the evil empire you used to fight against

Are the Red Sox super hateable? Heh, probably.

Can't argue that they have the same level of evil juju as the Yanquis tho.

The Yankees haven't had a losing season in 25 years. Even the years when they "suck" like last year they win 84 games and are within shouting distance of the playoffs.

The Sox (albeit when they're good, they win World Series!) have been good a lot less consistently over that stretch. Hell they've won less than 80 games 3 of the last 5 seasons.

Anywho, the Yankees will sign Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, and Matt Harvey next year and balance will be restored to the rivalry!

I feed off your pain.

It frankly sucks to see both the Yankees and Lakers in this state, and this is coming from a Boston fan.

Yankees are 8-4 and are so good that they decided to give the rest of the league a fighter's chance by sitting Gary Sanchez for a month. They don't belong in the same conversation as the basement-dwelling Lakers, who might completely fuck up their foreseeable future depending on how the lottery plays out.

Yankees don't scare anyone though. There's no fear of god playing them and there hasn't been for years. I agree that they're ahead of the Lakers but that's only because they fell off the scary wagon much earlier!

Jays: *hold my maple syrup*
Time for the chicken littles to start flocking. Terrible start. They can't hit and they can't steal bases to manufacture runs. Now Donaldson, Sanchez, and Happ are injured. The sky is falling.
Getting blown out by Baltimore at home on a Sunday afternoon is going to start an attendance decline. Perhaps it's too early to panic, but it's not looking good for the Jays right now.

The Mets are going to need to go with a 4-man bench (probably Conforto [unfortunately], Lagares, Flores, and R. Rivera on most days) while adding an extra reliever to the roster for basically the entire season (or at least until rosters expand in September) if they want to stand a chance given the cautious approach they are clearly taking with all of the starting pitchers.

90-100 pitch limits combined with the same all-or-nothing offense results in a lot of stressful bullpen innings/decided games.

The return of Familia will (well, we hope as he likes to walk the tightrope more and more) alleviate some of the issues regarding roles and whatnot but the extra reliever will still be detrimental.
