Supposedly Yadier Alvarez will make his debut for the Quakes in high A tonight. Awesome. Been waiting to track his progress. The Quake's rotation is amazing with Alvarez, White, and Beuhler. I was pretty excited a few years ago with Seager and Urias. Now it's Alvarez and Bellinger.

Finally a day off for the Rockies. First place in the NL with the injuries we have and how were struggling to hit is impressive. Holland has proved a great pickup so far.

lol Mozeliak openly wondering if Yadi is hurt

At least he also said the Matt Adams Left Fielder experiment is over... even though it should never have been a thing in the first place

Nice job by Jordan Montgomery so far. Did a good job working out of trouble early on, settled down and just got a 1-2-3 third.

Cardinals look helpless vs Nova

Don't think the Wong home run is gonna be the difference with our dumpster fire bullpen

on the plus side, you have the Bucs defense to look forward to!

I am pretty pleased by how Nova has pitched so far. Bucs starting rotation is thin as fuck but there's a lot to be positive about

Its just crazy how this season has started. Which is a real head scratcher, considering this team looked prime in spring. It'd be one thing if one of the 4 were suffering (offense, defense, starting pitching, bullpen), but its everything.

Hopefully with Mo's comments today, this team starts heating up. Apparently, from what Langosh is reporting, Peralta was told he will not be starting for a little while. No more Adams in LF from the sounds of it too, and reading between the lines, its pretty clear Mo basically told Matheny, enough is enough. No tinkering, no trying to fill holes where there shouldn't be any. Lets see if this works.

lol Piscotty that was so stupid

Mo mentioned "everything is on the table." Wonder if that got Matheny worried

Appeals hearing set for #Pirates Jung Ho Kang: May 25. Earlier, he got an eight-month term suspended for 2 years for his 3rd DUI arrest.

@Jeeho_1
Kang has been training on his own in Korea; still hoping to get his U.S. work visa. #Pirates, meanwhile, shipped him a pitching machine!

good idea, send a pitching machine rather than a counselor.

Alright Lynn did a good job reestablishing his trade value, he just needs to keep it up now

Maybe Oh can do the same in the 9th

unless matheny starts Lynn in the 8th, which I'm sure he will.

edit: holy shit he took lynn out! Mo must have really made stuff clear.

this is exactly what i was afraid of tonight, offensive woes still there & you can't expect 4 come from behind wins in a row. and tomorrow is Kuhl who has pitched decently but still.
