The Rockies have now been mathematically eliminated from winning the NL West.

The great scare is over. We don't have to worry about a run now.

edit: If Posey keeps it up and moves to 1B he definitely has a shot at the hall. If he stays at catcher maybe. I just love watching him throw fools out.

I forgot how shitty the 2nd wild card team would be, so I guess its possible for them. although I don't think likely at all.

About to get swept: "these guys are so shitty"

You'd think Braves fans would be used to the annual collapse by now. So salty, Windu.

How. HOW are the Phillies and Brewers 4 games back. Daaaaamn.

Brewers just needed to fire their bullpen coach, obviously.

The real reason:

I don't see much chance of the Phillies winning the 5 out of 6 against the Nationals it would take to gain ground. We'll see how it goes.

Ho many did the Phils win the last time they played the Nats? Also the Nats will have everything wrapped up by then, who knows if they will even play every one. Also by then the Phillies might already be ahead of the Cards and they wont even have to win 5/6.

I know the Cardinals love to coast into the Post Season, it tends to be how things go in the years we win it all. But for the sake of the fanbase, if they could just establish a bit more breathing room, I'd be oh so happy.

Also, where did the Angels come from? If they overtake my Rays I will be very upset.

Well I poopoo'ed on the deal when it happened due to the contracts but I never thought we'd actually be worse since then. What a clusterfuck.

Rangers 2013 schedule is out

What a weird schedule this is. They don't play on Thursday for 6 straight weeks beginning in August, and they have a scheduled double header against the D-backs, who look like they are going to be the regional "rivals" of the Rangers.

It is pretty cool to see interleague games spread out though.

The Nats will be fighting for home field advantage RoS and a hundred win season. I'd be optimistic, since they did it recently, but it's not likely given the talent disparity.
