I was rooting for the Rangers earlier in the year, but it would just be too awesome if they ended up losing the division to the friggin A's.

If they do end up losing this one, they will have to win 2 games against the A's. That could be 2 out of 4 or 2 out of 3. Just depends on how fast they win their two games.

And how confident are you in their success at that?

hmmm, don't really like the pitching matchups on Monday and Wednesday, but they should win on Tuesday.

As for the one game playoff on Thursday, the Rangers would most likely roll out Darvish on short rest, and the A's would have Milone out there. I have confidence in Darvish vs just about anybody right now.

So everyone here had the Nationals, Orioles, and A's winning 90 games this year and the Red Sox finishing in last place, right?
I had the Nationals winning about 85 or so (I thought the Braves, Phillies, Marlins and Nationals would all be above .500 and in playoff contention), but....other than that lol

edit: I had the A's above the mariners! so there is that.

The main thing that disappoints me about the Rangers fading down the stretch, is that it has given Warsh an excuse to let Profar rot on the bench. Reminds me of Rick Carlisle putting Rodrigue Beaubois in the dog house during his rookie year on the Mavericks.

Beaubois has been in the dog house every year.

And Rangers need to sweep the A's :(

Awesome decision to give Santana a free out when he was struggling, Wash. This is the kind of thoughtful managering I've come to expect from you.

I hope if the Rangers choke everything away we can finally dump Wash and Young.

Can we talk about Boston? Like, ok, Boston is already the worst place on earth and the people are generally reprehensible, but this is a new low. Buck up, you garbage.

I know you guys hate Fredi a lot, but at least he sometimes plays your Rookie Curaçao born shortstop

Fredi's been better this year. He's still a fuck-up who cost the team at least a couple wins with his moves, but he's (generally speaking) done fine with the line-up, with pulling starters at the right time, and with benching struggling players. Of course, every day that Constanza is in a line-up, the less true this becomes.
