never heard about the cat, apparently
/facepalm. someone on another forum is trying to argue to me that Eddie Murray was a better switch hitter than Chipper Jones. sigh

he was saying Mantle was the best switch hitter, which is true. He is head and shoulders above everyone else. And I made the comment that Chipper was second and then maybe Berkman. He said Murray was second, chipper third....and Bernie Williams 4th. yeah....

well to be fair they did play in a different era, but looking at stuff like OPS+ and wRC+ which base their numbers on league avg. so that you can compare different eras chipper is still well ahead of him.

Athletics and Tigers could clinch playoff spots tomorrow by winning (or if the Angels and White Sox lose, respectively).

Cardinals can clinch a playoff spot if they win and the Dodgers lose.

Nationals can clinch the NL East tomorrow if they win or the Braves lose.

Rangers can clinch the AL West tomorrow if they beat the A's.
