This was always gonna happen, no matter which party was in charge.

Iran was insistent on becoming a nuclear power and consistently showed intent to use said nukes. They have been breaking treaties for like 40+ years now and refusing to come to the table for negotiations.

Which outcome would you have preferred? Israel being nuked one day? Maybe somewhere in Europe, or what most probably would have happened is the US?

too be honest fuck Israel. there is no real evidence to suggest that they were even close to a bomb... whats next.... is trumper going to after north korea next

Well, looking at how many that has died from terrorism in us vs eu, I'd say maybe europe should deploy troops to the us to help with security over there.

or this is the first time you have read something about what has been happening in Iran, this thread itself that you are commenting in has been long since active before the strikes even happened.

Trump (his cabinet) has been trying to negotiate with those IRGC clowns since he took office. He's been trying to get peace in the Middle East since his first term. He's done two coordinated strikes to try to scare them and bring them to the table, but the radical extreme regime is stubborn and, to no one's surprise, radical.

These are people literally shouting "Death to America" and other chants.

Also, what sort of clown is ok with Israel or any nation being nuked...

You were dropped on your head as a child im guessing.

During active combat—that included attacks from Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles, and drones — the U.S. Air Force fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses.

All six aircrew ejected safely, have been safely recovered, and are in stable condition. Kuwait has acknowledged this incident, and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwaiti defense forces and their support in this ongoing operation.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

If they're going to do this and don't want it to drag on then they need to absolutely obliterate the vast majority of their missile and drone infastructure, as well as remaining nuclear infastructure and IRGC bases and set them back years and then see what happens interally.

Economically they were already fucked and so the best shot of change now is severely weakening the regime and then sitting back, watching and being ready for a fast response should they immediately become hostile when talks begin.

Mass uprising did happen a few months ago and that time they were slaughtered by IRGC and no one intervened to stop it. Iranians aren't going to do that now.

Iran is using a different strategy of putting pressure on the US by going after their Mideast allies and bases and not directly going after Israel now like they did last time.

No, and I don't think he will ever set. I don't see how this attacks will take the government down. I can't see that happening without a ground invasion which is not going to happen. Unfortunately for the people of Iran.

Iran was given multiple chances to come to the table during this month's long build up after massacring tens of thousands of innocents, during the six months they were licking their wounds from the last incursion, and during the years/decades they've been a menace funding terrorist/terrorism around the globe. More than they deserve. You get peace through diplomacy or force, depending on the context, what would be an alternative context for Iran after decades of nothing else working?
