Another question about the series, are you guys ok knowing that with every release you're basically playing the same thing again from zero? I dont want to sound rude, I dont know much about the game, but from the outside that seems to be the case.
What I'm trying to get at with the previous question is, (setting aside technical aspects) would it be desirable to transfer a saved game to each new release? Say like pokemon BW2 did where the story would change a bit, you get to tranfer your old critters, etc. If so, what data would you like to keep from game to game? (E.g. Equipment? Scores ans ststistics? )
If you trade over high level Pokemon to every new Pokemon game as soon as you can and then just blow through the story, you're only cheating yourself out of gameplay. All BW2 did was add some little easter eggs if you linked your past game, it didn't start you out with your high level Pokemon against level 5s. I'd feel much the same with MH. They're not the same game, they're a new game in the same series with the same mechanics and differing monsters/settings/quests/etc. So given the option I think I would actually opt not to transfer my Tri save to MH3U, because I'd just be trivializing half of the game. I don't want to kill Great Jaggi in a few minutes in MH3U until I've earned that right by crafting up a nice gear set. And I'm certainly not paying $100 for both versions of the game just to start at the end or blow through the game with no challenge.
