Monster Hunter Wilds PC 'Recommended System' Specs specifies Frame Generation for 60 FPS

Well that makes sense doesn't it? The 2070 Super is around / just under console performance and the consoles versions are supposed to be around 30fps are they not?

Yeah, this thing isn't gonna run on Switch 2.
Definitely.
Entirely different engine. MH World is on MT Framework while MH Wilds is on RE Engine and we already know how resource heavy this engine is for open world games since Dragon's Dogma 2 uses it as well.
What the hell! Why would they do that? This explains why it would look so meh compared to World. Why didn't they use MT Framerwork? World is locked 60fps on PS5 and looks as good as this.

They can't, since there's no support for MT Framework on current-gen consoles. It only supports old consoles (PS4, NSW, XBO) and PC.

Sony: The PC ports are coming along nicely.

Draugoth Draugoth : Sony says they are abandoning PlayStation and focusing on PC.

Thread title changed to better reflect the recommendations at Draugoth Draugoth 's request

To be honest, those are some fairly shitty components for today's standards in the recommended settings.

Anyone with a Zen 4 processor and a slightly more capable GPU should easily be able to get a stable 1080p 60fps in MH Wilds.

Wait, shouldn't you be pulling close to 60FPS for framegen to push it even further? AFAIK this is not the solution to turn 30 into 60.
More FPS = more data for framegen to work with.

RE fucking sucks in open worlds.
I've recently gotten into MH but I'm in no rush to play Wilds. Bought MHW earlier this year for cheap and it runs nicely on Ps5 at 60fps with decent IQ.
I'll probably do the same for Wilds, wait a couple of years and buy the complete edition + DLC for like $30 and play it on some future hardware where it runs well.

If devs insist on making games for high end PC and future consoles then I'll just wait until I have one of those to play them

PC Requeriments should never consider framegen in any of the specs. This is utter bullshit and why image quality plummeted this past gen. AI upscalers came to help you get that boost for a more comfy experience, not to meet requirements.
