First open world MH game. The world has several mechanics, such as changing weather, that will have an impact on what appears and how you approach a fight.
IIRC you beat MHW and enjoyed it. You'll likely dig this as well, even if it's just to complete the main story. If it has cross play I demand we hunt together.
all i saw was a stuttery mess, but if you're happy with what you saw good for you i guess.
UI elements don't often move, so they aren't compressed nearly as much. The map/UI and the streamer guys faces on the video would be compressed to shit as well.
Jesus Christ, this. I watched this live on stream and noticed it right away. The best part about this thread is knowing hardcore PC gamers on here can't tell the difference between between 30fps and 60fps.

There's been at least 3 of the usuals in here who clearly don't know wtf they are talking about.Jesus Christ, this. I watched this live on stream and noticed it right away.
30 fps is really choppy, the camera swing and you will notice right away.
This kinda expose some of out resident experts here though.
PCMR on GAF...Post some proof that this is 60fps and this discussion will end.
You can literally make documentary of both big and small monster's and endemic life in this game.
Oh I be you anything we gonna see lot of that after the game comes out, complete with Morgan Freeman as narrator. Are you volunteering? I'll watch.
Its also a shit quality stream destroying every possible detail the game has. It will look so much better in personPeople saying this game doesn't look impressive are fucking crazy.
Just look at the amount of detail and interaction this game has....You can literally make documentary of both big and small monsters and even endemic life in this game.

Go on the YouTube videoPost some proof that this is 60fps and this discussion will end.
I agree, and the forest and coastal areas look amazing. I will say that the early trailers they showed do look dull and dark, though, and some of the characters look rough.People saying this game doesn't look impressive are fucking crazy.

Here is why I am kinda skeptical about this footage. I watched other videos on YouTube and I believe they are from the show floor. None of those video come close to this smooth. Most of them are like really choppy.People saying this game doesn't look impressive are fucking crazy.

Looks good on this tiny screen. When blown up on a big screen, everything looks ugly as hell from bad textures to objects with low geometric density. I'm actually shocked at how bad the game looks despite how demanding it is.People saying this game doesn't look impressive are fucking crazy.

So no bets from you? Yeah I thought so. Always the loudest mouth but too scared because they know they're wrong. So you can't prove it?

Some blood splatter would be nice.Hopefully they continue to make improvements

You're moving the goalpost to 'locked 60fps'.Bet on what? I can tell you with 100% certainty that this game won't be locked 60fps on PS5.
This thread isn't about it being locked at 60fps. It's about being more than 30fps LOCKED.Bet on what? I can tell you with 100% certainty that this game won't be locked 60fps on PS5.

Where does it say LOCKED 60fps? Now you are denying that it can even hit 60fps, hilarious.OP claims it is 60fps, it's in the title.

It's not about counting frames - it's a 60hz refresh, and it's very visible when sequences play-out at the full refresh.I'm sorry but those videos are awful. If you can count frames on them with your eyes then good for you I guess.
For this one we'll need high-quality capture to see if there's frame-gen artifacts. I do find it - crazy - that games like these (and Wukong and others) that are decidedly latency intolerant for gameplay would opt for frame-gen though. Meanwhile the Life Is Stranges and Fifas and other stuff that is basically tailor-made for frame-gen insists on doing anything but.I see one of three possibilities:
[*]Frame generation
OP literally clarified to you in the first page, come on now.OP claims it is 60fps, it's in the title.

When someone says its 60fps, that means its running at 60fps. Not your delusional 31-59fps.When someone says game is 60fps it doesn't mean "more than 30fps".
But it is 60. The same way the recent Zelda is - if you start contending that 'oh I saw 3 dropped frames so it isn't' then basically nothing released in past 30 years hit 60. Including on PC - where occasional frame-drops are guaranteed regardless of the hw.OP claims it is 60fps, it's in the title.

Oh yes. They def picked the worst areas in the early trailers. But this looks much better. Better and bigger than World.I agree, and the forest and coastal areas look amazing. I will say that the early trailers they showed do look dull and dark, though, and some of the characters look rough.

There are very clear drops and stutters in the video, but most of the time it seems 60 or close. But it is 60. Tell us how HUD/map are immune to video compression.Says the guy that doesn't even know what compression is.

I already explained that. Read.Tell us how HUD/map are immune to video compression.
Everybody here knows that 60fps doesn't necessarily mean there won't be framedrops. When someone says its 60fps, that means its running at 60fps, not any other number.![]()
You explained shit as moving and not moving stuff are all affected by compression the same way.I already explained that. Read.
And they aren't "immune" either.
Thank you for proving again that you don't understand how video compression works. You explained shit as moving and not moving stuff are all affected by compressio the same way.
Then show us.Thank you for proving again that you don't understand how video compression works.

When you see stuttering on the video it's below 60fps and it could be anything between 31 and 59fps.
Performance of the game should be similar to DD2 without RT, maybe higher because this game is simpler:

Framerate counting from shitty video like this is laughable.
Just as well on PC - where random stutters crop in even when you're running 100+. You need a crazy amount of headroom to completely eliminate dips (especially with anything that has network and I/O streaming on PC). But of course noone cares if <1% of time framerate drops, it was never an issue before.Hopefully they can improve that before the game releases. But really, it is rare to see a "locked 60FPS" on consoles unless it is a remaster.
You're joking right? They are static elements on screen, not (or way less) affected by compression artifacts.Tell us how HUD/map are immune to video compression.
