The complexity of these mechanics and the ease of entry makes this game something special. Can't believe this one is free. The dev certainly has a solid foundation to stand on if he does want to put out something for money.

How does this control on the deck and how's the text readability? Not that anything is pulling me away from balatro on that device any time soon though.

Not sure but I would guess not ideal. There's typing as well, though you've only got to enter the first letter or few to get dialog options that are required for info on quests.
