I really don't know about the other two, and I usually like the lesser-known games they throw in, but best DKC + free Picross is pretty awesome.

I think it's based on check-in. I don't know how long the period is, but if you log onto the classic games app while connected to the internet, you should be set for a long while. Maybe a week?

And yeah, no sub, no games. More like Netflix, than like Xbox Live or PS+.
