Don't know about 'way better'. In motion it very obviously looks like it's 3D models, which kinda defeats the purpose I would imagine.

They are not real time 3D, they are still digitized/pre-rendered sprites of these 3D models.

I like the look even though they are not using real actors here. It's the result that matters and this looks good to me

Also the background and foreground looks pretty rough.

Yes but they do look better than the version in the twitter image. That one looks like it was upscaled only by an AI.

I agree though, MK1 is not the best MK to remaster. Though i do think MK2 is the best one because of it's atmosphere. IMO it's the best digitized era MK game.

They should make UMK3 available for modern consoles, with zero changes to the original material (especially character models).
