So, how have you been pronouncing it?
I pronounced it phonetically Spanish being my first language. Co leh co visionWait, did you pronounce it "Cole co vision"? That's just linguistic terrorism.
I always pronounced it based on the commercials from my childhood.
I was probably 3 or 4 when it was on because it was always playing through reruns of Happy Days and Mork & Mindy.I never saw a commercial. How is it Co lee co vision? There is no double e in the word
I was born in 1987 and I am digging deep here in my 2nd or 3rd grade English class memories here, but I believe if you go vowel - consonant vowel, that first vowel gets exaggerated in a similar manner to if it is a double vowel.I never saw a commercial. How is it Co lee co vision? There is no double e in the word
Just another instance of English being random and all over the place.I never saw a commercial. How is it Co lee co vision? There is no double e in the word

Yep. As my kids often times like to remind me…I’m old.Unbelievable to think that games looked like that in the past. Damn
Since it's short for Connecticut Leather Company, I could see that argument. But having lived through that era I always just took its pronunciation for granted, because there were commercials and people just knew how to say it.I pronounced it phonetically Spanish being my first language. Co leh co vision
Right? But this guy native language is spanish tho... It will never be not funny see native english speakers struggle with "Shin Megami Tensei" or other japanese names lolI find funny this threads and how native English speakers struggle with this kind of things
Ninja "Gayden" was the one I always found funny growing up.Right? But this guy native language is spanish tho... It will never be not funny see native english speakers struggle with "Shin Megami Tensei" or other japanese names lol

Look, I loved venture and mousetrap as much as the next guy but you've lost your goddamned mind.Awesome console. Top 3, easily.

So the e is silent? Cole co vision? Ok or does the rule only apply to words with the vowel A and not other vowels? Colecovision has no A so we are back to square 1

It probably only applies to the letter A lol bro I said in my post I'm digging through memories from 30 years ago that's probably longer than you've been alive give me a break I got it half right lmao"An example of this letter pattern with Long Vowel A is the word “Ate.” The A makes the sound of its Letter Name “A,” the T makes the sound “t,” and the E does not make any sound." where did u find this website on Temu?

Not as bad as people who say SNEZ instead of S.N.E.S.
Okay, I've never heard someone put a Z on the end of that. I feel like I would lose my shit on them, even if they're trollin'.
