Interesting. I'm currently learning Japanese and I've been looking for an easy to read game.
Does anyone know if there are timed choices in this? As long as I have all the time I need and it's not kanji intensive, this might be a good practice game.

There were 2 yandere Bad end in the psp games but i doubt they will be there since this game is more a " what if" than a normal VN
The 8 gravure imas games ?
Their entire point was dressing the girls and taking pictures

I'm actually quite intrested in the game flow ( since it semes to be tied to the in-game forom/twitter/facebook simulation ).
I hope it works like in the hack//games with plenty of useless trivia and events triggerred by various answers.

Yeah, it looks like G4U has started a new genre. Honestly I think the whole "taking pictures" as a game is a pretty lazy genre, requiring no effort put into story, characters, gameplay, or anything else. Now G4U was bundled with the IM@S anime BDs so it wasn't at extra charge over just buying the BDs, but selling something like this as a separate game is just blatantly milking the fanbase.
Yeah, I have them, though I've never gotten around to putting them in my PS3...
So this is just like the G4U games, then, as opposed to playing anything like actual iM@S? Singing and dancing aside, I actually enjoy the core gameplay cycle of iM@S, so I'm always in the market for something vaguely similar. If it's just the picture taking, though, I'm not really interested.

Is there going to be or was a Kanako route?
Kanako had a route in the psp game. Don't know if this game will even have "routes" but looks like you can interact with that monster in this one.

Make sure to buy the second, it has the first game and the continuation expansion.
Side Note: You are the first person I've ever seen who likes Kanako. People say I'm nuts for liking Kirino, but you sir, are a true masochist. lol
Yeah, it looks like the SNS thing will handle most of the character interactions, so unless you can read it, you're boned. Don't think PS3 games can get fan translations can they?

Yeah, I wish they would just whip up a quick English translation and put it on PSN. It doesn't even need to be a good translation.

Shes the similar character type to Anise from Tales of the Abyss. Which is why I found her character amusing.

i'm concerned about how the idol part works. are they competing between themselves or is there a ranking system?
are managing onnly one idol at a time or are doing all 5 ?

Saori deserves a better game anyway.
All the dengeki article says about the idol growth stuff is that you will be able to give them advices by replying to their messages on that twitter like thing, and that will determine what kind of idols they will be like.
But it seems like there will be an event on 06/07 (I believe this is also the release date of the last volume of the novel) and maybe we will get more info about the system.

I dunno...that ad's still not much to go on but I think I may end up passing for the time being and put that money towards Oreimo BD's. We'll see though.

Guess I'll put off buying the boxset for a little while longer to get this... You know, being an otaku is tough, especially when you like OreImo. You have so many commitments; figures, blu-rays, manga, dakimakura, games... Sigh. My goal of a complete collection of official goods keeps slipping further and further away.
Going for a full collection of anything is pretty much wallet suicide. I'm still waiting for Saori to get her well deserved Nendo, but beggars can't be choosers.

Seems like a good game for fans of the series. I enjoyed the first season but haven't watched the second yet.
Judging by the pics the graphics looks great. I love the way Cel Shading is implemented in this game. Looks gorgeous.
I will wait for the first impressions here on GAF. It seems like a game that can't be enjoyed without knowing a lot Japanese. The photo section is pretty tempting tho.

It originally was a light novel. Manga and anime adaptations came next, games after that. Anime is fine.
