Yes this has been known. There are only ten or so episodes after the Itachi arc which is 9 episodes . Part 2 canon ends at episode 670

Kishi has no control over the design. He was surprised like everyone else at Sarada's initial design. Whats worse is it looks like the first chapter is a recap of Boruto the movie.
