I get that Sakura is the designated punching bag of the show, but to suggest the Gentle Fist is enough to beat her is absurd.

To start, no Hyūga is going to overwhelm Sakura in taijutsu. In fact, very few people can. Just because their style isn't given a fancy name, that doesn't mean Sakura and Tsunade aren't taijutsu specialist. It's obvious that they are.

They're tanks that evade, endure and punch really, really hard. It may be a simple style, but it's a very effective style, and one that Tsunade has been using for as long as she's lived, and there ain't no Hyūga overwhelming her, let alone Sakura who surpassed her.

Assuming you can find a Hyūga that is A) talented enough to stand any sort of chance against Sakura, let alone shut her down completely, and B) survive whatever direct or glancing blow they would invariably receive in return for their trouble, there is no reasonable explanation why the chakra stored in Sakura's Yin Seal couldn't just flood her system or automatically heal the damage as quickly as it is inflicted.

12 year old Naruto whooped a Hyūga prodigy. Sakura is easily a mid Kage tier fighter. No Hyūga is going to overwhelm her with taijutsu, it's simply not going to happen.

I'm baflfed you'd suggest Sakura wouldn't be capable of landing even one hit but are perfectly fine with assuming she'd get hit so easily in the first place, someone who has the most impressive evasion feats in the entire series.

A head-on fight with Sakura in taijutsu would be over in seconds for all but a very select few in the series. Keep in mind even a glancing a blow is lethal. Tsunade split a large chunk of earth with a single finger, all the way back in Part I at her introduction, simply to make a point? Sakura has since demonstrated enough strength to break Kaguya's horn. Not even a direct hit from Sasuke's Susanoo had left a scratch before that.

The Gentle Fist doesn't target chakra, it blocks tenketsu. Naruto demonstrated that a large enough influx of chakra can undo its effects. Considering the amount of chakra Sakura can store in her Yin Seal, enough to heal, vitalise and maintain an army numbering in the thousands, there ain't no way the Gentle Fist will work on her beyond temporarily disabling limbs, which she should be able to heal within seconds or as soon as it happens with mitotic regeneration.

Assuming there's even a Hyūga strong enough to use it on her effectively, let alone shut down her chakra pathway system to the extent Neji did to Naruto, which I maintain his highly improbable. Even if she got hit once or twice, that opens a big enough window for her to retaliate, and, again, she only needs one hit.

Sakura has a lot of chakra. More than Hinata stands a chance of absorbing anywhere quick enough without getting blasted.

Even if Hinata somehow survived her injuries, she would be left incapacitated and unable to use any jutsu to heal herself, and even if she could do that, it would take time she wouldn't have since she's not that particularly talented at healing jutsu.

Sakura VS Hinata is not an interesting match up in the least. Hinata would get destroyed.

That would be the wrong way to fight Sakura. One hit in exchange and Hinata would be destroyed. Besides Sakura's chakra reserves are immense.

I'd say you should use distance and speed to combat Sakura.

The taijutsu in Sasuke v B didn't last long enough. B just decided to go completely overkill and transformed when he could've arguably rekt Team Taka in his base mode.

I've said this before, but it's pretty clear that originally the plan was to have Sasuke be the ninjutsu user (thanks to sharingan hax), naruto the taijutsu member (just look at his entire fighting style), and sakura the "genjutsu specialist." (as stated by Kakashi).

Over time Kishimoto neglected sakura, introduced the medical ninja specialty, and the sharingan's main focus went from copying other people's jutsu to super perception/genjutsu hax, so that idea was abandoned.

While I do like watching that animation quite a lot, there is something weird about it where the characters' limbs wont stay in tact. Like they get blurred or distorted or something. I guess you could say that about combat animations from many different shows, but this does it in a way that stands out to me. I have mixed feelings on it.

SP can do great animation when they have budget. The special series called "Power" ( 290-295) had fantastic animation throughout all 6 episodes.

The thing I don't like about SP is that there stories are mostly shit and they don't understand the characters at all.

Do you know they guy who was in charge for the animation of Madara vs Shinobi alliance, Sasuke vs Killer Bee and a ton of other top end fights; Hiroyuki Yamashita is the director for the Boruto the movie?

So likely with the exception of the final Sasuke vs Naruto fight I can't see the animation being overly crazy for these future fights... Unless of course he had time to work on some stuff (or there are other top teir animators who are working on the episodes)

No it doesn't. There are dozens of great shippuuden episodes with great animation as well. No anime can maintain amazing visuals throughout its entirety let alone a shounen anime thats been running for 400 episodes. Be thankful that Naruto has such greatly animated fights.
