You guys do get that code-names tend to be based on production sequence right? As in a first project would be code-named Alaska because A is the first letter in the alphabet, or Jordan if its project #9.

The whole idea of code-naming is picking something completely unrelated to the content!

Edit: J is #10 LOL. In my world A is 10 though, because generally if I'm using letters as numeric equivalents its usually just hexadecimal.

What do you mean? Nathan Drake's daughter is a girl in Uncharted 4. Her now calling herself a man is on brand for Naughty Dog.

I'm pretty sure ND have done more than 9 (well, 10) projects.

Sometimes project names are completely unrelated to anything. Or sometimes they are a hint, it's up to the developers.

(My current project is named 'metal man', it is related but it's not the games name)

In an ideal world they'd be developing multiple projects. I'd love another Uncharted. And a Part 3 Last Of Us. And something completely new, but single player focused.

I'm so ready for a new Naughty Dog IP. It's been TLOU/Uncharted for the last 10 years. Then it's been remakes of visually sound games for like the last 5. But they won't release Uncharted 1-3 on PC or remaster those for some damn reason.
 
Neil Druckmann is from a Jewish religious background, right?

Just speculation from my side, but I clearly remember him in one of the behind the scenes videos of Last of Us 2, he said that how growing up in Israel and the war, had him succumb to the thought of revenge (I'm paraphrasing here, not exactly verbatim, so don't quote me on this nor am I trying to strawman him), and how it should not lead one on that path into adulthood, instead choose kindness, which eventually became one of the themes behind the story of Last of Us 2.

Maybe, this game takes place in Jordan and he wants to tell a tale close to home? Maybe even an Uncharted 5 set in Jordan?
