NBA 2015- 16 Regular Season IOTI - NBA GAF Is Pretty Dead Considering This Fact

Solid win by the Spurs tonight. Everyone stepped up at critical moments. Still wish they wouldn't be so slow in the first quarter, but at least they come back.

The bench is so deep that eventually the opposing team tires out. All the Spurs have to do is survive that first haymaker.

Finally Tarik Black plays! Byron the freaking moron for never playing him the first half of the season. Love his effort and the fact he is the only big man who actually sets a pick for some reason. -_-

Shocked the Warriors are letting the Lakers hang around like this. Feels like they're starting to slow down a tad. Granted, that's still better than 80% of the league.

Love the energy from the young talent going on right now.

Larry Nance is awesome. At draft night, I had no clue who he was and thought we completely wasted a first round pick. But now he's yet another steal.

Tarik Black needs to play more right now. He's a baller. Love his energy.

Roy Hibbert on the other hand is garbage. Very disappointed in that pickup. So slow and sluggish.

Russell playing great. The offense always looks so much better with him on the court. Then we lose the lead when he gets benched. -_-

Russell/Clarkson/Brown/Randle/Black is a rotation I wanted to see from the very beginning.

Can't wait to see Byron do a clueless rotation though that will knock us out of the game by 20+ points tho. I'm used to it at this point.

I'm a Lakers fan and trust me, this is not how most of the Lakers fans are acting right now.

Most of us are actually ok with the sucking right now AS LONG as we develop the young core in the process (and if we keep our freaking lottery pick)

So far however, Byron Scott, while being a great Tank commander, is doing an abysmal job at developing the young core. I can't wait till the Lakers finally kick him to the curb.

Agreed. I don't give a shit about winning titles; I just want engaging basketball.

When's the last time Iguodala made a 3 pointer? Seems like he's in this massive shooting funk right now which is surprising considering how efficient he was at shooting the 3 ball at the beginning of the season.

randle always looks out of control. always trying to like spin and shit lol

i miss lamar.

My main complaint about him on offense is that he keeps making his shot looking harder than it needs to be. When he drives, he keeps going backwards when he takes a shot and flicks it with one hand. He also doesn't set screens or picks. That one is a complete utter head scratcher. The guy should live in pick and rolls, not away from it.

It's annoying. But he'll learn. Especially with a better coach.

Solid play from Randle, Russell, and Clarkson! Great development, for sure.

Hibbert....what happened? He used to average around 15 ppg as a center.

Hibbert is such trash. I have no idea what happened to him. I'm at least glad he's an expiring and we gave up almost nothing for him.

Very glad about the good play from the young talent. Larry Nance with 6 steals while hardly playing the 2nd half...yeah good job Byron. -_-

Tarik Black finally played, and he's our most productive center on the team. Which is such a shocker! (Not really)

I'm not worried at all about the young core. Just need Byron to get fired, hire a coach who is not a retread and not a moron. And of course the lottery balls to gift us the 1st pick and get our future dynasty going with Ben Simmons to reunite with his high school teammate Russell. :D

So are Cavs fans preparing for the defeat they will be dealt if the Spurs or Warriors play them in the finals? They're clearly not going to have home court either.

Players with a higher usage rate than Jimmy freaking Butler include: Dennis Schroder, Reggie Jackson, Isaiah Thomas, DeMar DeRozan, Derrick Rose, Marreese Speights, Emmannuel Mudiay, Zack LaVine, Brandon Knight, Jeff Teague, Alec Burks, Markieff Morris, Nikola Vucevic, Trey Burke

The bulls really need to get rid of Rose's cancer ass.

You're trippin, the offense looks completely lost without Rose. If we trade Rose, idk who the fuck we'll get to replace him.

No one backs up these emotional outbursts with substance, it's like a Trump-ism.

Get rid of D-Rose!!!!

Replace him with whom???

Someone said Jeremy Lin on here. Yep, that's going to get the Bulls past Lebron and the hump.

Just release him, they are better off without him!!!

Aaaaah, the old addition by subtraction.

That will surely mend those long scoring droughts because as we know, the Bulls are as efficient and pass the ball around like they are the Spurs when Rose isn't out there.

The bottom line is that Rose isn't tradeable because of his health and that him in the lineup still gives them the best chance to beat the Cavaliers.

Jimmy may have beaten the Sixers and Raptors "by himself" but this team will not go far in the playoffs without Rose out there.

They may not even go far with him out there but they have no chance against Cleveland with Hinrich or Aaron Brooks at the point(E'twaun should be ahead of them in the rotation like he was earlier in the year by the way).

Exactly my point, no matter how good Butler has become and continues to improve, I don't ever recall one player winning a championship by themselves. Rose is experiencing minor setbacks with these little nagging injuries, but he'll hit his stride come playoff time. Last year's playoffs he was playing very well (aside from Bayless' buzzer beater layup) averaging 20p/5r/7a. Honestly once he gets his timing down and can string together a consistent 5+ games were he plays well, he'll be ready. At this point it's better to watch Rose improve than claim for trades cause in reality, he'll probably never leave Chicago,

Butler has ascended to a whole different level though, I remember when people projected him to be a solid defender and decent role player at best. He should be the leader of this team without a doubt and shouldn't catch criticism from anyone since he's the only real consistent player. He defends at a very high level, has become a playmaker recently and also scores at will with his drives. My only real criticism is that both Rose and Butler aren't playing well together and don't have much on court chemistry, and I feel that mostly stems from Rose being useless off the ball, he isn't cutting and prefers to stay still on the perimeter simply watching. If him and Butler start complementing each other and start slashing, there is no reason they can't AT LEAST be the best backcourt in the East.

Still the lack of a two-way wing is concerning and I don't think Dunleavy is the answer at all. Doug is a liability on defense and Snell is all to inconsistent/mentally weak to be that player we need. Add in the need for a decent backup PG, we definitely have holes in our roster but at the same time, we have depth at every position and at times flash our offensive and defensive potential.

Since the year 1987 which is the first year I followed the NBA, more specifically the Lakers, I never thought I would hear in all this time, a fan say "I like the direction were headed, championships mean nothing to me."

WOW.

Hibbert too slow for this team. Most of his points gonna be from offensive rebounds

Too late asking what happened to Hibbert just need to accept it. League is changing and with him it seems to be that along with confidence issue.

There isn't much place in the league now for slow as fuck, unathletic bigs.

I really like Hibbert, shame to see him bow out like that, if it unfortunately happens. He would be terrific as a small ball Center, but his age....hope it doesn't mean his career is at an end. He was fucking awesome with the Pacers; him and the rest of that front court almost ground that Heat team out of the playoffs.

Do you really think the best thing the lakers could be doing right now is thinking about championships?

For us to let Jim and Jeanie get away with stealing money from TWC, and doing nothing with it except sell us on Nick Young and Roy Hibbert, while presenting Byron Scott as its coach, Then, They continue to lead the league in average ticket price. Yeah I think its not far fetched to see something is wrong, and has been for a while now.

What happened to If we are not in the finals and winning, what is the purpose of the season?

Now we are accepting of this garbage? And this team is pure hot garbage, they are setting records every year for worst season ever in the teams history, and no one says anything, they don't even say anything.

I think something is very worng that in the span of 5 years, this team went from what they were to perhaps the most mismanaged joke, that can only get has beens, and never was-to sign for 1 year deals.

At what point do we say im not buying it anymore? The damage they have done is so bad, there is not one free agent of any consequence that wants to play here. Not one!

Hmm... What do you suggest the Lakers do? I agree that Scott is a horrible coach, but they have been trying to get the best free agents in the off-season, but no one wants to come. They're not trying to sell on nick young or roy Hibbert. They're the only ones who they could get in a pinch.

The young core looks good. Let's hope they reach their potential and have a long career. I agree that Jim and Jennie haven't shown much so far, so if they can draft the right players, some of the better FAs will realize that they can run a team and hopefully come to the Lakers.

Don't care how prestigious the Lakers are. Once Kobe goes there is no way they deserve to be highest average ticket price lol what a joke. The product that is on the floor is just laughable poor basketball execution all-around. Kobe is box office. Unless they get that Simmons kid.

Don't worry Lakers fans, you guys gonna get a fan appreciation day like the Knicks fans got.

Incredibly Naive
So gotta reiterate how massively disappointing smart is to me. I truly thought the guy was a stud in the making, but he's just plain lousy. Above average defender, but not elite, injury prone, can't shoot, can't score, hot head, etc. just all around disappointing.

Wait you Celtics fans actually had expectations for Marcus Smart dude plays so sporadically what did you guys believe would happen he would become like a Bradley Beal eventually?

I thought he would be a lockdown defender who could get to the room and make plays happen. I hear he had insane work ethic and was a leader. Instead he has no flow to his game, has lousy handles, poor decision making, terrible jumpshot which we already knew, and more. He's just disappointing.

Butler went from 53 points to 4 points. Can't blame him though. Playing the next night after you just worked your ass off for 50 minutes must be hell.

Woo, Celtics win two in a row. It was a good day ;-) Can the Celtics beat the Wizards to make it three in row? I have no idea! :-D

Has anybody else in the NBA in recent years been as unabashedly dumb as Whiteside? He's an incredible talent with the social mind state of a 16 year old. Its amazing.

wow lol, this is the calmest post i've ever seen on this site! I didn't even think your initial post sounded all that angry lol.

he got guarded by Wesley Matthews, likely the best defender in the NBA right now.
