Random question: who, in NBA history, do you think had the highest vertical leap? Has this been effectively measured?

Michael Jordan is tied with Darrell Griffith with the highest vertical leaps in NBA History at 48 inches. Jordan was a freak athlete so I am not suprised.

Wow, what's going on with New Orleans? Will Anthony Davis ever get frustrated and leave?

DAVIS TO THE LAKERS CONFIRMED!

To copy my post from the last page:

Pelicans getting pasted by the Magic. Pelicans and Davis is starting to mirror the NBA version of the Indianapolis Colts: transcendent young star who can be a force in the league held back by a bad team.

That might at been the case in the first half of last season, but right now we are a severely hurt team. We currently have 10 players who can play, 3 of which are coming off injury and/or are playing limited minutes. On top of that AD is playing weak, almost looks like he doesn't care. And then to top it off, two of our four losses have been to the Warriors.

So it's not always as it appears. Don't blame the talent of the other players on the team. If we can get healthy we have a solid roster.

Why are you guys acting like the Lakers are "choosing" to tank? This team is just terrible, and Byron Scott is one of the worst coaches in the league. It's not a choice. The 2nd best player on this team is Lou Williams for crying out loud. Jordan Clarkson and Lou are probably the only two guys that would even sniff the roster of any contending teams. I kept trying to tell you that this was easily one of the worst teams in the league and nobody would listen.

Unfortunately "if we can get healthy" has been the mantra for about four years now.

My biggest fear is we come out of this next trip and come home to play Denver still winless or with only one win and the franchise, the fanbase and the team hit the panic button and the season is over before it can begin.

Ugh, my NBA Premium Pass expires today. :(

By the way, my impression were, that both Randle and Russell were huge talents. Aren't they good players as well?

Russell is a rookie, it will be a while before you can judge whether he will be talented at the NBA level or not. It doesn't help that he has been pretty awful in his first 4 games in the NBA so far. Many other rookies are outperforming him. Of his fellow '15 rookie class so far Towns, Okafor, Porzingis, Hezonja, Mudiay, Winslow, & Turner have all looked better.

Best case Lakers scenario is they have the worst record in the league and get the #1 pick and grab Ben Simmons and then a few solid FA's next summer after Kobe gets kicked to the curb.

As an OSU fan , I watched D'Angelo in the tourney and during the regular season... I never really understood the hype. I admit that I know little about basketball in a lot of ways, but I didn't get the noise surrounding him.

It seemed like Lakers were going to go for Okafor for the longest time, seems like it would have been the better bet so far.

Something about how his advanced stats comparing very closely to players like James Harden, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose etc..He's a boom or bust type of player. My guess is that he needs the ball in his hands to be effective and well you probably aren't going to get that as a Laker.

I just discovered that the Warriors have a soundcloud that archives postgame and practice interviews. I think this might be the case for all NBA teams as well as I see a few other teams with it.

As much as I hope Russell is a bust it's way too early to see who's going to be the better bet. Okafor was always going to look better out of the gate thanks to his polished post up game.

Looking forward to tonight's game. If the Clips beat the Warriors without Kerr/Bogut no big deal as the dubs are still the team to beat. However, if the Clips get run by 20+ I think that'll send an alarm through the rest of the NBA.

I would love for us to spank the Clips tonight. But like most games against them, guys other than Steph will have to play well. They always do a good job of blitzing the shit out of Steph up top with Blake, Jordan and whoever else on the pick & roll.
