is mcgirk still on the mavs? maybe ill take the mavs. with mcgirk and carroll (who i will acquire in a trade from whatever team he is on for anyone on my team but mcgirk) i will make the playoffs
 
how are you distributing the winnings, kado?

winner gets all or a tiered distribution?

i think im with smokey on this one; if the pot gets that high i'll be interested in joining the ps3 league. :D

assuming everyone is willing to contribute to the pot with a $20 buy-in,
the current pot stands at $330.00 US Dollars
If the league gets full, the potential pot will rise to $630 US Dollars.
($20 x 30 Team + $50 commish buy-in)=$630.00

I'm not overly-familiar with past NBA 2k GAF leagues, but doesn't having actual winnings of that amount cause players to cheese like crazy? I know there will be rules for it, but still, you're going to have people playing uber-seriously (not always a good thing in an online game where cheese is common) because they want/need that money.

no because the 360 commish is too cheap to have a collective pot.

there's no way to enforce play style. I can only limit cheesing. but from what i've played from the demo, its more difficult this year to cheese. yes there will be exploits, but we'll do our best to keep it fair and competitive.
i will be implementing league rules very similar to smokey's with strict rules to adhere to.

No buy in. I'm putting up my own money as a prize to winner of 360 tournament as well as 360 league.

If 360 players are down for a pot/play I'll do it, if not then no biggie.

Any word on when the PC version will be available for download? I hope they put it up on Steam and other DD platforms soon.
 
I know the release date, but I can't find any information on it being released on any DD platform. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about that. I don't plan on buying this retail.
 
I'm assuming it'll be on the same services as last year: Steam, Gamersgate, D2D.

It wasn't up on there until like a week before IIRC last year. You could pre-order it but it wouldn't pre-load, you had to download it on release day.

- Classic Teams: I’ve seen so much discussion on this in the forums despite us previously confirming this. Yes, you absolutely can take our classic teams into Association. This means you can bring any of Jordan’s Bulls into the league. Equally as fun I have found is to bring in the Malone/Stockton Jazz and the Ewing Knicks alongside the Jordan teams.

Any of you having success getting IsoMotion to do what you want it to do? The only thing I can get it to do consistently is the cross over. The simplest move in the game.

EDIT: To 'size up' you have to do LT and a direction on the left stick. What I saw earlier was just the LT.

I still think MLB The Show is the best sports game out. I don't even like baseball like that and that game is crazy.

All I'm asking for is for promised features to work out of the box day 1 (is that too much too ask :/). After slider adjustments this shit will be golden.

Does this mean that the rosters on the disk will still be the same as 2k10 and you will have to download a 'roster update' to get the real ratings? Surely I am misinterpreting this.

not all of them are the same as 2K10, there are a number that have changed.

all he's saying is that there will be a roster update day1 or very soon after launch.

2K updates the rosters weekly (typically) during the NBA season in order to best match their ratings with how the players are actually performing.

in reference to his actual quote, it looks like they locked the roster on 8/20--probably when the game went gold--and that KD should be rated higher because of his performance in the fiba games--that's my assumption.

from what i read too that they have written the netcode from scratch for the new servers.
they'll be bugs and kinks to work out, but if fixed accordingly, this could be the goat of sports gaming.

btw ps3 league currently stands at 14.
if we can just at least get a couple more particpants, i'll consider this league a go, GO, GO!

not sure, i wouldn't be surprised if they did. the NBA has had a lot of final say in all bball games. for example, even though 2K's ratings account for 0-100, no NBA player is rated below 25 in any category--the NBA explicitly asked for that. 2K finally just got the approval to have a dynamic attendance model too--the NBA had always been opposed to this for obvious reasons.

i just assumed that, given the release date, 8/20 could have been the time rosters were locked because production may have started/was about to start, but it's definitely plausible that the NBA set that date in order to review the rosters.
