My friend's kid is a huge LeBron, and by proxy, Cavs fan. They watched the game last night, and his son, looking all sad, asked him why they "don't fight back".

Cavs are making kids depressed with this garbage ass play.

Never want to wish injury on a guy, but Love being out next game may actually favor the Cavs. I don't think they lose all that much on offense replacing him with Frye, but they can gain quite a bit on the defensive end. Frye is hardly a defensive juggernaut, but his length and athleticism can at least get him to recover and contest shots. The Warriors are having their way and Frye alone probably isn't enough to change that, but at least it should help a little.

Green was torching Fry just as much last game

Why are the Cavs not playing Frye at all? He barely played last night.

i would rather he be on the court than Delly and Mo Williams.

Also, Warriors have to be disappointed that they let a 40 year old Richard Jefferson look like an all star on both ends of the floor in the first half.

Fry's minutes are limited because Draymond just completely mitigates him. It plays into the Warriors small ball lineup. I mean at this point, if you're the Cavs, you probably try everything and see what sticks.

It's incredible reading Cavs fans now say it might help if Love is hurt because his defense is so bad. I wonder how many of these same people were arguing the Cavs would win the series because they were healthy now.

Ah, forgot about the Zika stuff. Yeah, I don't really blame Curry for resting. Especially after last year's run + the FIBA tournament.

Warriors just switch everything, so he's never open for the kick out 3's. Especially with Kerr countering any Frye lineup with Draymond at center who can easily keep up with Frye on the perimeter. Since he doesn't really post up, that kinda takes him out of the offense.

And even if he does get a switch, it's someone like Klay or Iguodala who is smaller but not small so they can still contest anything he tries to put up.

Traditional bigs against Golden State's small ball just have no shot. Save for a few exceptions who are just demons on the glass and inside like Steven Adams or Rudy Gobert. And even they end up having trouble guarding on the perimeter.

I agree with what you said about Frye, but they need some role players like Smith or someone else to step up.

The other guys have played like trash so I figure they should at least give Frye a chance.

I'm still not comfortable calling this over. I think the Warriors will eventually win, but I feel like Cleveland's role players will play better in Cleveland and maybe guys like Kyrie and JR will catch fire from 3 for a game or two.

Its definitely not over.

If everyone on the Cavs plays with as much heart and intensity as Richard Jefferson did last night we could have a series if the Cavs hold homecourt. If they can't even match GS's intensity, not for a quarter or a 5 minute stretch but for 48 minutes, then it is over unless GS gets injured.

I think the most disappointing part has been GS looks like a surprisingly beatable team. They are ridiculously weak on the boards and not a big team. As shown with OKC, you can effectively box them out. They were handed both game 6 and 7 when OKC started to just throw up shots and meltdown. Allowing them to catch up and it feels like it is the same here. I remember in game 6, they mentioned OKC has 13 missed 3's in a row. They weren't playing the game they are strong with, they were trying to beat GS at their own. Rather than going for the easy buckets.

GS, even though they start behind, they aren't melting down and sticking to their plan. Eventually, it seems like its just the offensive that collapses on the other team and their defense follows suit once GS punches a few threes in.

Saying OKC handed the Warriors game 6 and 7 isn't an accurate narrative. Klay went nuts despite OKC's defense in game 6 and Curry eventually adapted and was able to score over the Adams switch in game 7 (which is why you didn't see Adams in crunch time).

Yes, the Warriors have issues with rebounding and turnovers but every team has their strengths and weaknesses.

@darrenrovell

Ticket prices to Game 3 in Cleveland dropping by 30 percent or more. Get-in before tip last night was $280, now under $200.

#FanUp Cleveland.

Wow, Cleveland is stuck with this core for a long ass time (doesn't look like they have much whiggle room either). If Lebron really wanted to win one for the land, he'd opt out and sign for the minimum.

And the problem for them is that even if GSW chokes next year, Thunder (if Durant stays) or Spurs are still coming out of the West as favorites. Hell, even the Clippers could make a series out of it.

If LeBron leaves Cleveland, he'll never be able to return. He will become public enemy number 1 permanently.

Until he decides to grace the town with his presence again, in which case they'll all come back groveling at his feet and apologizing for all the mean things they said during his departure.

Lebron should take a year off after this loss. He's got the mileage of a 40 year old player and the expectations of a city. Tell Cleveland to get its shit together, come back in the playoffs and make a run.

Pretty surprised by how Kyrie is under-performing in first 2 games.

He is much better than this.

Yup. He's been a defensive disaster, but I totally expected that.

Did not expect him to not get to the rim more frequently, or at least be a better offensive option.

Anyone think GS is gonna three peat against the cavs

Have the same teams ever played against each other for three consecutive years? I'm looking through the NBA champions list and it doesnt seem like it has happened.

Yeah, good luck attracting FAs without LeBron on the team. What top talent would sign up for that dysfunction?

So you expect that to happen now?

People said the Raps were gonna get swept, that GSW was going to lose against OKC after game 4. It's sports. We"re not talking about gambling your first-born, we're talking fans selling their tickets because their team lost 2 road games.

I was so sure that the Lakers and Celtics must have done that once, but after looking it up, nope.

My point was the West isn't nearly as good as people are making it out to be outside of the top 3 teams.
If the Clippers don't get decimated by injuries, they give the Warriors a hell of a run as well, though. Fact is, LeBron and Co. getting to coast through the regular season and first two-three playoff rounds doesn't prepare them for the teams possibly coming out of the West. The West top four would all take the Cavs (assuming good health).

Warriors
Thunder
Spurs
Clippers

The point is that nobody in the East, (outside of the Cavs against the other three), have a chance in hell against these teams. Nobody. So yea, the West is definitely as good as people are making it out to be comparative to the East.

Yeah I'd say the east has more okay teams than the west (west bottom 4 is pretty bad, portland seems to be better than their record shows though considering how they pushed the warriors) but that doesn't mean a whole lot when none of them are really contenders.
