I feel bad for the dev team, because this footage is getting savaged. But it honestly is outclassed by 2K in the visuals department. For EA's sake, I hope their game plays wonderfully. I could overlook the visuals if it played well, but based on the animations in the trailer, I dont see how it could.

Why would you feel sorry for the dev team? This is their doing. Don't want your game made fun of? Put some fucking effort into it.
 
a bigger disaster than the wii u

what a shame since live 10 was actually very good and rivaled 2k's best efforts, the crowd atmosphere in that game is still unmatched to this day
 
Mine as well delay this game, EA. People aren't going to buy it.

And while we're on the general subject, you might want to double whatever you're paying the NFL to keep that license exclusive...because as soon as it's not anymore, 2K is comin for that ass again, but this time with a big base of support.

Because this probably is their best effort. 3 years of effort. Sorry, I have some compassion. I'm sure they're proud of their work.
 
bwahahaha. i'd like to believe that the competition will make everything better but this isn't even a challenge. EA is a good 5 or 6 years behind.
 
Fifa is rubbish. I don't even know what your talking about. All EA sports game have bar AI and gameplay. Nhl is the only decent EA sports game and the career mode still has bad AI. It's worse than the ps2 sports games and I feel this is a result of sharing technology.

There was a time when 2K hockey games were considered better than EAs offerings...

2K5 and 2k6 were very very good games...

back to Live, it looks really rough when compared to the 2K trailer, which is really amazing looking (and really shows what we can hopefully expect from next gen sports games)

I do miss the days where there could ba a choice between 4 to 5 different games in some sport categories...
 
I just hope their UFC team has their shit together.

Ignite hasn't looked promising on any front. It always starts with a nice CG hype bit, and devolves into this.
 
Everyone needs to send a comparison video to whoever is in charge at nfl which deals wjth video games and let them know what they are missing out with 2k games

Speaking of, has there been any news on this front? I read that this is the last year of their deal. Is the NFL expected to renew the deal? Or is the general feel that its going to expire?

Last I heard it was going to expire and 2K could start making NFl games. I could be mistaken though.

My 4 year old niece is proud of her crayon scrawls on paper. It doesn't mean she should charge $60 a pop for them.
