For a Bulls fan there is nothing to look forward to other than the Wade trade/buyout and Draft Night 2018. We are the new Lakers without A Magic like figure who will save us.

Lakers actually have young players with all star potential in Lonzo and Ingram.

Bulls have CAMERON PAYNE.

Notice how Lebron isn't on this GOAT poster. He doesn't want it like MJ and Delly.

The NBA will limit teams to two team timeouts in the final three minutes of a game, league sources tell ESPN.
The NBA's Board of Governors has voted to reduce maximum number of timeouts per game by four -- from 18 to 14, league sources tell ESPN.

These seem like huge changes. Really kills in-game rest, seems like it hurts teams that are super reliant on giving guys an insane number of minutes a game (Cavs)

What's the point of that change?

The other change was they got rid of "20 second timeouts" (which were actually a minute) and just made all of them full 75 second timeouts. So the actual timeout seconds (or ads in game) ends up being about equal. Just less of them in general.

They're just basically creating incentives for teams to use timeouts earlier and to not have the last minute of a game take 10 minutes in real life time.

He was a shitty free throw shooter, and teams should be well within their rights to strategize around that. Should we make it illegal for teams to ignore Andre Roberson and Rajon rondo on the perimeter?
Right..i get for the viewer it sucks but it's still a legit strategy. Imagine if you weren't allowed to throw at a corner in football because he sucks lol bench the motherfucker..

Those fouls are such bullshit. And then the commentator praises the offensive player for being "smart"

It's smart in the sense that they are manipulating the refs to take advantage of a shitty rule but everyone does this. The one the pisses me off more is the act of shooting bs when you get fouled. There was one in the playoffs where Curry is just taking a step forward a flings the ball from his hip at half court. Not even Curry is taking a shot that far way from the basket let alone it doesn't resemble any type of shooting motion, yet he still got three FT for that crap.

oh I don't disagree, just funny saying don't be a shitty player.

but nothing to prevent the "hack a Shaq" yet, huh?

Sure, make your free throws

But

It's such a simple thing. The foul should be a basketball play. If it's away from the ball and it's just a guy slapping a guy on the arm or hugging him for no reason at all, the team that gets fouled should be able to either take the ball side out regardless of the bonus situation or, more punitively, choose anyone else on the team to shoot the free throws. (Oh, you're going to foul DeAndre? JJ Redick to the line.) Either way, no more intentional, flow of the game killing fouls. Legitimate basketball plays (left to the discretion of the referee) away from the ball would still result in normal free throw rules.

Adam Silver said NBA season will start Oct. 17 this season. That's about 10 days earlier than usual.

That's the benefit of cutting the amount of pre-season games down.

One more sked wrinkle: league trying hard to have teams in marquee national TV games (ABC Saturday) both coming off a rest day, sources say.

Silver is a good commissioner.

That's way too simple and makes too much sense for the league to implement. :p

Silver is a good commissioner.

If the league does end up pushing for fining players/teams for resting players, that would be the perfect way to justify it.

The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets have expanded the scope of a possible Carmelo Anthony trade to include four-team scenarios, league sources told ESPN.

No deal was imminent Wednesday, but the Knicks and Rockets are confident that they have a willing third-team trade partner, the sources said.

The fourth team was needed to move a particular player contract that neither the Knicks nor Rockets could or would accept in the deal, league sources said.

...

The Knicks' front office has been privately saying that the organization's marching orders are now focusing on players 25 years old and younger, league sources said.

Sounds like the player contract that is difficult to move is coming from the 3rd team in this scenario.
