yep Horford is gone.
Time for Ainge to lowball him.

Are there any other serious contenders for Horford besides Boston, Detroit, and OKC?
Bazemore 4 years 70m to the Hawks. I think that means they're officially out on Horford.

Is OKC actually a serious contender? Also, I believe at some point the Rockets were a serious about him.
Edit:
Well they weren't going to sign him after they got Dwight.

They could've signed him and then traded Millsap.
Yeah, but Millsap-Dwight is a better fit than Horford-Dwight, IMO. Hawks fans are talking about keeping all three and starting Millsap at the 3 - I think that's a major stretch.

I wonder if the Nets would consider throwing some money at Sully.
Ainge can't even close the deal offering max to a generational player like Horford. NBA players really do hate Boston.

To be fair he'd make more money in Houston, Washington has a center & OKC would have KD.
OKC can't even pay him. Unless there is a trade they aren't even in the conversation.
Can I post "WHO???" even though I know who he is??Al def gone now
Just gave 70 to Bazemore
Let that sink in. Kent Bazemore got paid 4 years 70 mill.
This off season is unreal.

Windhorst is saying the Hawks are involved in trade talks to free up cap space to re-sign Horford. I think they'd have to move Millsap for a pick to get it done.
Damn, even in 2017 Howard / Horford would give them some beastly interior defense.
Did Toronto do anything besides re-sign Derozan?
I heard Ryan Andersen was interested in playing for us
Getting Howard might actually have been done to entice Horford to stay if he really prefers to play PF to C. Moving Milllsap's contract should be easy.
Has anyone been like me where your favorite team is interested in a free agent then right after, you watch highlights of that player on YT? Then, later they end up on another team.
I could see the Nets trading with the Hawks just to spite the Celtics.
Rushing to watch videos on rondo so he ends up on a team not named the bulls

Trade what? Draft picks in 2020?
There isn't much else we can do. We're capped out. All we have is the MLE to offer. Which is peanuts for what many of these guys could fetch on the open market right now.
The Hawks could dump Splitter and Thabo + a pick on the Nets. Or something very similar to that at least.
So they can have the exact same ceiling or worse? Milsap is better than Horford.
Meh. I don't even get how Howard, Milsap and Horford work. Milsap becomes a full time SF and Bazmore gets 17 million to come off the bench?

It doesn't make any sense. Millsap is a great, versatile player but you're totally neutralizing his talents. They might have a plan, but I sincerely doubt all three of those bigs will be on the Hawks next season.
Per Woj:
Sources: Free agent Al Horford held four meetings today -- including Houston, Washington -- and plans to make a decision over weekend.
Could Wall + Beasley be enough to interest Horford?
