if that's true then there is no way they were ever going to trade him to Minny unless Wiggins was included. They are asking for the world, but Butler's an all star in his prime on a long term deal (just before the cap is about to explode), so they kinda should. I mean, if that's the market for Butler, Boston probably can't even afford Love without gutting their squad. Ainge did a good job of collecting assets but unfortunately finds himself in a market where star players under contract are either not available or too valuable for what he's offering.

Bulls were never going to seriously trade Butler. A great player on a great contract. Lavine + 5 honestly just sounds like bullshit. What they were asking for from the Celtics sounds much more believable. Celtics are never moving that Nets pick though so it was never happening.

Most of that was because of an injury. He was considered a lottery talent easily before then.

Actually seems like a good risk to take for the Nets - need to find some talents for they don't have much means to do it.
