Cavs and Warriors at 25 national TV games, which is the max allowed. OKC and LAC get 24.

Somehow, the Lakers get 19, which is further proof that the league hates everybody. At least the Knicks only get 7. Brooklyn 1. Philly, Detroit, and Denver get the national goose egg.

19 for the Lakers. What in the world.

Not even Laker fans want to watch this team. And if we are going for fanbase, I would argue that the Knicks have a pretty big fanbase outside of NY as well.

I disagree with Laker and casual fans not wanting to watch the team since even if the team dips in the ratings, they still pull large numbers. As for the Knicks, I have never seen too many fans outside of New York, but that's obviously anecdotal.

I tuned out last season but despite the team probably being garbage I'm interested in how the young guys play together this year.

I'm interested in this Lakers team this year tbh. Kobe, Russell, Hibbert, Lou Will. It could be ugly as hell, but I'll watch when they're on lol.

Same deal with Anthony Davis. Dude looks like a joke with that uni. It's a terrible marketing gimmick and he should fire his PR person.

he wanted more than he was worth so his deal got put on the back burner as the team signed sane players to sane contracts. now the money that they had to offer him simply isn't there anymore. so he'll have to take a smaller 1 year deal. either CLE will only offer him the qualifying offer or maybe they'll be willing to eat some tax money to offer him somethimg more than that and then maybe sign him next year to a more meaningful contract. this situation is where it is because he and his agent wanted more than he's worth. Seems like maybe he just didn't want to come back. Maybe he just doesn't want to be a bench guy, and that's all he'll ever be going forward in CLE as a specialist with no offensive game.

I'm sure he will leave next year if he is forced to play on the qualifying offer for one year. There will be no shortage of teams next year willing to pay, with the cap rising.

Think about all the guys who got $10-$20 this off season, including K-love.

As GS learned when dealing with Draymond, you unfortunately have to overpay sometimes if a) the alternative is, well, nobody and b) the player is a fantastic fit for YOUR team

What makes Thompson unique, it's his age, FG percentage, ability to anchor a defense, and he's already playoff tested.

Don't sleep on the raptors taking him, either sign and trade this year or outright FA next year. He's immensely popular in toronto being from the area. I would speculate he could take less money to play in Toronto and make it up with massive endorsement dollars.

I mean some of the guys in the scrimmage were mediocre players who will never make the team. Michael Carter-Williams, Amir Johnson, CJ Watson, Arron Afflalo, etc. But that would also describe Austin Rivers lol.

Really hope the Cavs aren't seriously interested in Crawford. J.R. is better than him in just about every way.

Hopefully it's just a ploy to get J.R. signed for cheap.

We need that Haywood exception for a decent wing, or insurance big in case TT thing goes sour.

Cavs should be, Crawford's contract ends after this upcoming season at $5.6 mil. They don't wanna overpay JR Smith especially with the salaries they have already committed.
I think Jamal Crawford can score at the rim better than JR Smith can and he might be more consistent.

Yeah, but won't Crawford want a big payday too like JR did at the end of last season? It was JR's own fault for his actions in the playoffs why no one wants to pay any more for him.

It's also kind of redundant the skill set, when they could just keep JR and use that exception on a different position.

Crawford's a little older too, isn't he? While I agree at the rim Crawford may be better, we need the spot up shooting a bit more with the current dynamic.
