You're right, but you were oh-so-close to getting owned, because Jordan took off from way out and actually got the ball on the front of the rim for the jam, but missed it because he was being bridged in the air by Hakeem and had to look down and make sure he didn't end up horizontal on the floor.
It's a nice play-- I've watched it a few times, because it was a spectacular attempt, and he was about 2 inches from nailing it on Dream's head.

Jamal Magloire is a very good center, but he's pretty much as good as he's gonna get (which is a very good Eastern Conference center). PJ Brown is a good PF, but to have a team with Baron, Vince, and Jamaal, I'd be creaming as a Hornet fan. Since they are in the Western conference now, they'll have to do something other than what they have been doing to make the playoffs.

Toronto's interest in this pie in the sky trade would be Magloire, since he's a Toronto kid. So it would have to be Magloire and Mashburn, or maybe even Magloire and Davis. Otherwise it's a straight raping on the Hornets part. The financials don't make any sense...next year sees VC making 12.5, JR making 14.5, while PJ's making 8. There's no figures available for Magloire, but if it's anymore then 10 I'd be shocked. Even if it's 12 it'd still be a $7 million difference, which seems pretty steep and puts it over the 115% rule (though to be honest I'm not sure if that rule has to apply all the time). And Morris Peterson signed an offer sheet with the Hornets a couple weeks ago (doubt the Raptors match it), which essentially means the Hornets would grab the Raptors' three best perimeter scorers. So the deal really doesn't make any sense at all. Knowing some of the idiots in this town though, they'll probably still approve of such a trade.
Not even looking at your financial analysis, I can guarantee you won't get Magloire and Davis, or Davis and anyone for Carter. Magloire and Davis were both all-starts this year, no reason to trade them both for Carter, and Davis won't go anywhere. Perhaps you could get Magloire and Mashburn, but that would be the most. I forgot Magloire was a Toronto kid, but I doubt any trades from the Hornets and the Raps will happen, not of this magnitude.
That deal makes no sense. The Hornets won't trade all their size just to get a backcourt combo of Carter and Davis, which would never, ever work. And plus, the salaries don't even come close to matching (which they do within 115% if both teams are over the cap, which they are). Magloire and Mashburn makes more sense, but then i'm not sure the Raptors would be willing to make that trade.
I'm just saying, Magloire & Davis is more believable for the Raptors then Magloire and Brown. That doesn't mean makes any sense. I think it's just a nonsensical rumour out of NO...been checking some of the Toronto sites here along with ESPN, and they've got nothing. Heck, the only thing I found was that the Raptors actually matched the offer sheet for Mo Pete, much to my surprise (figured it would be a bit too much money for them to justify matching).
I don't see the Hornets giving up Davis for anyone, that said, their F.O. is freaking stupid. Perhaps they WOULD trade Baron for Carter straight up.

Going by the recent trend of youth over everything, I don't see them trading a 1 (PG) for a 3 (SF) when the 3 is the easiest position to fill out of all five. The 125-count indictment unsealed by a statewide grand jury accuses Douthit with allegedly participating in a phony car accident as part of a scheme to obtain money from insurance companies, said Michael Healey, spokesman for the state attorney general office.
Six others have been charged in the alleged scheme.
He was paid $6,500 from money obtained from the false claim in December 2001, and deposited that money into a Providence bank account, the indictment states.
