Anyone can get lucky for 1 half, but its another thing to do it for 5 games...oops!

I lost respect for TMac once he gave up during the season. Granted, there were times when Kobe didn't play with 100% effort on either side of the ball this year too, but Kobe is on trial for rape and has other things on his minds, T-Mac's only excuse is that he has to see Grant Hill on the sideline, definitely painful, but no reason to give up.

OMG, according to the ESPN Magic board, the Magic are really considering picking Howard over Okafor? How stupid is that?

Tmac looks like he is checking Yao's oil.

I would do the same thing. Neither guy is gonna be a superstar though, but they need a big man.

The numbers show he didnt give up.....his team was just beyond fucking horrible and I can say 100% with confidence that if Francis or Kobe were on that team they would have said the same exact thing about that sorry team.

Don't look at the numbers, watch the game instead, it was clear he gave up. You can't measure effort by numbers, for proof look at the Pistons. I mean he never played defense for more then 5 minutes a game, but this last season he didn't even do that and he didn't even give 100% on the offensive end either.

Oh well Ive seen far worse things done by players so its all in the past and Tmac will bring his A game or Yao will karate chop his ass down a size :D

Okafor isn't exactly a small guy lol

I don't believe he is really 6'10 no matter what he is listed at. He could be a decent PF I guess, I dunno I just don't think he is big or athletic enough to control the paint. He seems like a role player to me.

Agreed. I was absolutely disgusted watching him sitting on the bench giggling while his team was getting destroyed. Fuck you, T-Mac. Go be the bad apple on another team. You'll NEVER get a ring unless you get it riding the pine in your old age.

Yao doesn't have the stamina for any karate. And the whole point of me pointing out that Tracy gave up is that a champ doesn't give up when things go wrong, because no one ever has a 100% smooth sailing to a ring. Shit happens along the way. No doubt though that TMac makes Houston a favorite if Gundy can actually teach his players how to run a offense (big if).

HAHA oh well the Magic are getting another head case who doesnt even want to play for them.I cant wait till you guys see what kinda point guard steve really is...runs up court..stops and looks around, slips on floor, gets back up,bounces ball off foot out of bounce...puts hands on head and moans...gets ball back and turns it over...rinse and repeat.

Well, Cato could play center and Howard isn't a center either. And did you watch any UConn games last year? Dude is a menace in the paint and his offense is not non-existent like a Ben Wallace type...

He's not 6'10" I can guarantee you. Not without his shoes anyway.

Just checked. His offial NBA measurement, without shoes, was 6' 8.5".

You think I actually want "Franchise" on the Magic? Hell no! Hopefully the Magic trade him off, too, just as he wants to be.

Exactly my point, you can dominate in college at 6'8", but the NBA is a different story. And he doesn't have the hops to be like Barkley so I would go with Howard, not really a great year for big men though.

Problem is, there is a whole world of difference between the college game and the pro game. In the NBA Okafur is an undersized center with back problems. Maybe he'll be a success, maybe not. I'd rather take a healthy, taller, more athletic forward in Howard (since Okafur will be playing forward in the NBA anyway). If Okafur was tall enough to play center in the NBA it would be a completely different situation.

Francis is probably the dumbest point I have ever seen, but who are the Rockets going to have at the point? The Lakers have shown how hard it is to win without a true point guard in the Western Conference, they will pick and roll you to the death. At least Stevie could play defense if he couldn't shoot, pass, etc.

"I'd be hard-pressed to see us trading Dirk,'' Cuban said. "Dirk is as close to an untouchable as we'd get.''

Cuban understands the interest and intrigue surrounding O'Neal's possible departure from the Lakers, as well as Orlando considering trading Tracy McGrady. But he laughed at the notion there's an abundance of big-name players available.

"The only difference between this and any other summer is that it's been so public,'' Cuban said. "Typically, all this goes on behind the scenes."

McGrady told Florida Today that he and O'Neal are "trying to get to Dallas together now.''

Cuban is flattered, but he's heard similar things before.

"You'd be shocked at how many players have called me at various points and asked to be traded to the Mavs,'' he said, smiling.
WTF? I don't think Tracy was aware of the situation at hand.

Hmmm he only seemed to play good D against Payton this year...you have no idea how many times no name point guards would eat him alive. The Jazz rookies made him his bitch this year.

Drunky McMurder
As neither a Magic fan or a Rockets fan(I'm not actually a fan of any team...but that's another story), I have a horrible feeling that TMac is leaving Orlando because he bitches about not winning to play in Houston where he will cause the team to lose. Not only because he is bringing half the Magic roster with him(And we saw how well these guys played last year), but he's also going to fuck Yao's career up.

He's on the right path, but he'll never develop into the player he can be if McGrady is on the team.

Did you watch the same Rockets I watched last year? Steve routinely gave up career highs to scrub PGs every night. Trust me, I know. I had season tix. Steve might have scored 20, but he gave up 26. You might have thought he played good D because of the Lakers series, but that had more to do with GP than Francis.

"Fox 26 in Houston reports :

Berman got a phone interview with Steve Francis from Washington, DC.

Francis basically said that it's business, and that he talked with Shaq today and he only wants to play for the Magic if Shaq signs."

My god,no wonder Bish hates him so much.

It has begun...

Aldridge just reported on Sportscenter that Fisher opted out of his contract and has interest in signing with the Rockets.

From ESPN Insider
CHICAGO -- Emeka Okafor's draft stock got a huge surge over the weekend when the NBA measured him at 6-foot-10 with shoes on and 6-8¾ in his stocking feet.

"I thought they gypped me a quarter inch," Okafor told Insider with a smile. "I know I'm 6-foot-9 in my socks."

Closer to 6'9" :p

Sorry, I know this is old news... But why isn't anyone hyping the fact that Bernie Bickerstaff is the GM and the coach of the Bobcats... This makes me an instant fan... I like how they moved up in the draft. Bernie said he isn't taking on any big contracts with the expansion draft.. smart move.. He also said expect only 4 or 5 of the players selected to be on the opening day roster! Go Bernie!!!
