NBA Playoffs 2019-2020 |OT|

Embarrassing.

Can't rebound, can't make FT's, can't finish, can't set up a coherent offensive set and we keep committing sloppy turnovers.

I would've preferred to lose on that Danny Green missed 3 last game to this. I guess the guys ran out of gas and Bam looks lost or flat out hurt.

On the flip side this postseason served as the best recruiting tool for the Heat since the big 3 joined. We'll be back to the finals in a couple of years if we sign a big name in 2021.

What a crappy way for a championship to be decided. No horse in the race, but who wants to see a 30-point halftime blow out in a potentially decider finals game.

Well, at least the wait until next season won't be as long as usual.

Anyone else have fond memories of hearing basketball media say these Lakers were 4th or 5th best team in the league, and that they were still missing a piece?

Remember all the Rob Pelinka haters? How he gave up too much to get Davis?

Enjoyable memories.

Man, the last few days were so stressful. The Lakers were minutes away from winning and they lost to Miami on Butler's clutch FTs and a missed shot by DG.

Now they win today in a blowout. lol

Person I'm happiest most for oddly enough is Dwight Howard. Before a back injury he was the most dominant center in the game. I loved pre-Lakers Dwight (first Lakers trip) and then when he just shit the bed with the Lakers first time around I HATED him, despised him. Everything about his attitude was non-Lakers. And here he comes back for nearly no money and plays some of the dirtiest physical basketball on the team and does nothing but shut his mouth and do his job. He earned his damn ring!

Would have been an interesting series if the Heat weren't injured. Honestly probably should have been a sweep all things considered. I appreciate their fight though.

Takes the pressure off for the Lakers... great win, another banner, the LeBron experiment was a success. Maybe make a move or two and run it back, who knows what happens? But the important thing is the get this one, then sign Davis. Job well done on both those fronts, at this point. Anything other than that would be outright failure.

Thinking back to last summer and the amount of shit I've heard given to Pelinka, and the Davis deal, and Dwight, and Rondo, and KCP... it just makes this so, so very sweet.

Celebrated right after the game for a few hrs. The night before was trippin like never before over what would happen gm 6, I honestly thought the Lakers were going to fall into a game 7 scenario. Glad I was wrong as can be / this roster should be very proud of themselves, a lot of players rose to the occasion. I was worried and had heavy doubts about Kuzma, Caruso, KCP, and others but they all pitched in like they've been here many times before and got it done with an exclamation

Congrats to the Lakers.

So now what? The NBA draft is in november and i guess the new season will begin somewhere around January so are they going to return to their normal schedule with a shortened season or is this going to be the new timetable for the NBA?

Putting AC in our starting lineup helped so much his defense and his offensive screens are insanely good. Then Rondo holy shit that was our game last night. Finally we bring one home in 10 years and for Kobe & GiGi...

I don't know if they plan on reducing the number of games or condensing the schedule, but they'll definitely be aiming to get the playoffs back to the normal schedule. The Finals had the NBA's most popular team with the most popular player and viewership was still at a record low by a very wide margin.

Dennis Shroder and Montrezl Harrell going to the Lakers is big news. Two big bench upgrades who can both play starter minutes. Both players just entering their prime too.

Are there any rookies that look to be HOF bound just at a glance? Any rookies like Doncic or Trae Young level that got drafted this year?

I never watch college ball so I don’t know a single name

I can't comment on HOF caibre rookies, but Obi Toppin (no. 8 pick for the Knicks) was absolutely spectacular when playing for Dayton. His dunks were undoubtedly electric - on the same level as Zion, imo. NYK fans are in for a treat.

However, he's just known for his dunking/athletic ability as of now; who knows if he can develop a solid game for the NBA?
