NDS Public Service Announcement

every GBA game looks fantastic on DS, so much brighter and sharper. The SP let you see the games, but the DS let's you see the games they way they were meant to be seen.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow looks fucking fantastic on a Nintendo DS.

That is all.
You think that looks great? Go play Circle of the Moon.

IAWTP and more XD It's like they've been given new life o-o.

Seriously. I plugged it in yesterday just to dick around, was totally impressed, and am now 3 hours in and have collected like 37% of the souls! What a game!

Edit - Plugged in CotM. Visually AoS > CotM.

Been replaying some of my GBA games also. Final Fight One never looked better, and sounds better too thanks to those nice stereo speakers. I love my DS.

If you're gonna do it, do it all the way. Top screen because it looks a bit crisper, and because that's where GBA games feel at home the most, once they've tasted the GBA SP (which all of my games have!)

Oh god, I could just sit and mess around in Catacombs all day in COTM. The music is just so awesome.

This is truth. I've always wished that CotM, HoD, and AoS would get their own arrange albums. At least we got a few AoS arranges in the LoI sampler. *sighs*

i never found COTM terribly impressive graphically in the first place though....

Aria of Sorrow is another story. Golden Sun is looking better than ever.

Show us a photo comparison between SP and NDS.

a photo comparison wont show anything, photogrpahing an LCD will never give and accurate representation of what it looks like in person.

Of course he wasn't talking about the LCDs! It's obvious he was talking about a comparison shot of your FACE! One with the somewhat squinty disgruntled look playing on the SP, and the other glowing with enthusiasm and emotion while playing GBA games on your DS. I'm sure we'll be able to tell which is which, just give us the chance, dammit!

GBA certainly do look fantastic on the DS. I was shocked to see Astro Boy looks so damn beautiful. Now only if I could find all those Castlevanias MIB.

The top DS display looks slightly sharper than the SP screen and there's greater contrast and more true colors from the backlight. Circle of the Moon and Boktai were noticeably better on the DS.

i'll try to get shots of a game on DS and SP later today. Didn't feel like getting out my tripod at 4a. :)

IAWTP!

fuck I need another castlevania. Helloooooo Konami.

Shit... I totally forgot how the SP fades colors when the light is turned on. This alone may warrant a purchase of a DS for me (seriously... I need a reason).

Someone pop Minish Cap in, please. I'm really curious.

And Castlevania DS = OWNAGE... another reason I'd buy a DS (but it must remain in 2D... oh God.)

I might get mine today, so I might. But I'm afraid I might come. Not just the graphics, but the music is crying out for good speakers

Yeah bro, fucking score in MC is wonderful. If you haven't played it yet... man are you in for a treat. (Jealous of not having had speakers/headphones)

Word to the wise... and I know anyone who has played this will say it... try to COMPLETE the game. Worth it.

Really? I had never known about those, I'll definitely have to check them out. I totally agree though, they deserve some arranges, or at least a few from each game if they can't do them all. Some of the best music I've ever heard on the GBA came out of them. Also rather sad the remix scene isn't big on them either. Rize's two remixes are really really great, but that's about all I can think up at the moment.
